Thanks wfrank, I'm looking forward to trying it out.
Your Contax looks nice too, I still need to pick up a few of them.
I found an FD SSC 35/2 concave/Thorium for a good price, and she's sharp too.
I guess that means my SSC collection is more or less complete, I just need the tilt/shift, & the 24/1.4 Aspherical, 55/1.2 Aspherical, & 85/1.2 Aspherical, and maybe the 200, ok not so complete...*sigh*

Now I should stop all my Ebay search agents - spent too much money on lenses!
Now why would you do a silly thing like that - I can offer no consult in this area as I too suffer from this problem. Zeiss Distagon 35mm f/1.4 (C/Y) bought and paid.
Nice

Well, it isn't a lens, but here is my latest alt, an FM2 (with my 50P on it). This is also my first shot developed in Lightroom 4. It will take some time to get used to it again...

It took me quite a while of deciding between the FE2 and FM2 (I chose the latter, for its purely mechanical implementation, and utter purity), and a long while longer until I got a good price on a nearly new one. 160 Euro with shipping is not cheap, but the thing is almost new. I have just put on my black minimalist Luigi (Leicatime) leather strap (non-adjustable, 90cm long) on it. I don't think that thing is ever coming off again without the help of a knife.
Btw, I can't recall if it is also an FM/FM2, but I think Makten has one as well, and I think he even uses the same lens on it.

i'm always tempted to get one of these for the fast manual shutter (i hate using ND filters), but i don't want to have to get a whole new lens lineup for it.

i believe makten has the fm2n.
If you look carefully, mine is also the n. I think the only visible difference is the sync speed of 1/250s instead of 1/200s?

Thanks briantho. First day gives good impression, here's a soon-to-be-a crosspost with the Zeiss thread. I was a bit weary selecting from this and the renowned CY 35-70. For me the lower extra mm's made my decision - and this lens is as least as good - although less known I think. Here's a torture test on sharpness at ~28 and it passes with grace, F/5.6. Not much colors here now, but you know all about that :-)

Thanks. I don't get to keep the Zeiss ZE 21/2.8 tho. I had a chance to get a new one and give it a try before selling it as used in the next week or two. So I took it. I'ma gonna finda out what it's like on this here GH1. I hoping it'll suck so I won't feel too deprived when it goes. Tho with my luck this will be like round 2 from the Lanthar 125. ...
Man, I still can't get over what an awesome lens that CV125/2.5 is... Gaaah!

A Zeiss ZE on your GH1? That means wide open shooting only, so I don't think you'll be too tempted to keep it (unless you have or get a Canon body for it).

Jena 135/3.5 M42 Zebra type arrived today. Very cool-looking. It's sharp for sure but I need to use it further to get a clear idea of this piece of history.
