I suppose the resolution is not good enough for those small pixel - and I donīt want to buy such a camera. Need my money for lenses
Hm, letīs see, you are not that far away, Germany is small. Could I see your window from mine with that lens ;-)

Missed out on the early version of the Rokkor 35/1.8 (darn work keeps getting in the way)
Waiting to hear back on Canon RF 35/2.8 & 85/1.9 tomorrow I hope.

Nice set Bif.You were lucky to get CV 125.I'm trying to find 180/4 Apo Lanthar for a reasonable price but failed so far.
I bought today Minolta MC 100/3.5 Macro with tube,35/2.8 MD W Rokkor 5/5 55mm 1st gen,MD W Rokkor 28/2.8 7/7 49mm second gen and newer copy of Distagon C/Y 25/2.8 MMG.Have to wait a week for them to come.
Meanwhile 'am testing Minolta MC W Rokkor SI 24/2.8 9/7 55mm (The Elmarit copy) against MD 24/2.8 8/8 49mm 3rd gen, finding for myself that the MC is sharper in corners and have more Leica like colours as well as better flare resistance.

pdmphoto, the one used for the pictures is the $40 (NEW!) Pentax 18-55mm zoom kit lens - the one with the green band. That's actually the first time I've noticed it doing like that - thou I'm pretty sure greatly enhanced by my processing steps.
I'm selling the Lanthar right away tho. Oh it's so nice! But at 2K I knew going in it was going to be immediately for sale as soon as I got it. I got to try it on it's way through tho! That's my profit in it - actually it looks like I will lose $150 on the deal so I guess I paid rent at that.
Peire, I have two of those Rokkors. The MD 28/2.8... It's very nice! A lot of fullframers here say so too so I guess it's corners are solid as well.

Got myself a nice Zeiss ZM 18/4 and I have to say it is the best lens I have for the NEX. Not much time besides some test shots over the weekend, but stunning detail with much less sharpening compared to the ZM 35/2. OTOH I never close the 35 to f8...

Lens from Hewlett Packard 197A oscilloscope camera (intended to image an oscilloscope screen onto a Polaroid film back) http://praetoriusphoto.images.s3.amazonaws.com/fmforums/20120307_hp_197a/the_lens.jpg
this doesn't quite count as a purchase, since it was more of a "snagged from the trash heap on lab cleanup day" type of acquisition.
The lens is only marked "hp" and "3m-539"; based on quick web research, it could be an f1.9 Wollensak (owned by 3M) lens.
It's (single)coated, not great with sun on the front element but decent contrast otherwise. The aperture has 16 blades (nicely circular) and is continuously variable. Stopped down, the lens gets reasonably sharp and increasingly boring. I was impressed by how well the lens is corrected for color aberrations (certainly not APO-perfect, but I was expecting some really wild chromatic fringing). It definitely seems a whole lot better than it "needed to be" for the job (characteristic of older HP gear, unlike the later Fiorina-era HP that subscribed to the opposite design philosophy).

That's cool.
I have been getting into lots of old and odd stuff adding to my Sinar f2 kit.
And in learning "the view camera ways".
Of course, with my soft lens madness, I have been purchasing mostly old brass barrel lens.
As of late, my lens madness has killed my finances to an all time low.
My "therapy" will however get a big jump start next month, as my finances recover.
*8^)

The lens is reasonably sharp towards the middle, with a big heaping of "glow".

Congrats, that lens is on my shopping list. Looking forward to your Stockholm NEX images with this lens.
Thanks briantho. First day gives good impression, here's a soon-to-be-a crosspost with the Zeiss thread. I was a bit weary selecting from this and the renowned CY 35-70. For me the lower extra mm's made my decision - and this lens is as least as good - although less known I think. Here's a torture test on sharpness at ~28 and it passes with grace, F/5.6. Not much colors here now, but you know all about that :-)
