Not arrived yet but yesterday I clicked on a Kyoei Optical 80mm/3.5.
I'm courious about it because another Komura lens I bought delivered a good color presentation on APS-C cameras

I got two parcels this afternoon, and neither one of them was the X-E2.
Pardon the rather direct lighting on this photo. My strobes are set up elsewhere at the moment. To make up for that, I used a Meyer Primoplan 58/1.9 V at f/5.6 to take this photo.

Lightshow - thanks a lot for your comment re MD 35-70 differences. If optical performance is otherwise ok then I'm reassured.
I also agree with your comment on the CV90/3.5 APO. I bought a real beater (body only) off here and I love it.
SoulNibbler - I am extremely envious of your fortitude.
I've just bought a P645 A 150 f3.5. Still to arrive...
My only real complaint from my Leica badged version, is that the MFD is a bit too long, otherwise it's as sharp as I'll ever need, Color is good too.
I was so very close to getting the CV90APO, only the f2 of the 90AA was too tempting.

Very nice, cube, how easy is it to use?
It's very nice to use. Just like it looks. I'll probably take it out tomorrow for some T-S shooting. Also, I plan to post a comparison/review of three geared heads in the next week or so: Arca-Swiss C1 Cube, SunwayPhoto GH-Pro, and Manfrotto 410.

After my last trip to Washington state, I found a big void at the 35mm focal length for the D800e lenses (14, 20, 25, 50, 60, 80. Unsatisfied with the 35/2.8 AI lens I have, I looked for other inexpensive alternatives, finding the Mamiya 645 35/3.5 here on B&S. Although not fast, it turns in some great potential. Looking forward to trying it in the outdoors. Also works on Canon (shown here) with additional adapter (Fotodiox for both M645 -> Nikon, and Nikon -> EOS).
With daylight, flash fill, and fluorescent fill, AWB.
Taken with 35/3.5 at f/3.5 hand held under fluorescent lighting, AWB

Having used one of those 3, I can say that the GH-Pro sucks for anything with any weight- even a 5D and 180mm Canon macro is troublesome. It may be fine for a small camera and small lens though. Their weight rating is highly optimistic and there is no way to lock the head down so that it doesn't move. Put enough camera and lens on it, and the head will flop over on its own- well below the rating of the head. I sold mine soon after getting it.
I took a chance on a KPS T5 geared ball head based on some feedback on FM, and that is certainly worth the investment. The performance of the KPS T5 is what I expected from the GH-Pro. Once locked down, it doesn't move. Small adjustments are easy without losing the whole framing and starting over.
I would tell anyone looking at geared heads that find the Cube out of reach to buy the KPS T5. It is taking me some time to get used to the controls as I normally have the plain ballhead knob set to use with my left hand (I am right handed).
I do hope to own a Cube at some point... but not yet.

Lovely colors from that lens. It's also very usable for perspective control on Kipon's M645-EOS or Nikon TS adapter.
Speaking of Mamiya lenses, GetDPI member Mark Saperstein has three tough to find Mamyia lenses in good condition, the 80/1.9, 150/2.8A, and APO 200/2.8, listed on their boards, all for decent prices. I don't know Mark, so this isn't an endorsement. Just thought some here might find it interesting.

I am curious to hear what you think of the GH-PRO. I have wanted a geared head for a while.

Getting the Cube has postponed my next camera acquisition until at least the fall. I'm OK with that.
The cube will last a lifetime, new cameras come and go..................
