Got my new Zeiss ZE 35/2 today.
Lars -- I didn't realize you had gotten these Zeiss lenses so recently. Actually, both you and Carsten are just about a month or two ahead of me!
Carsten -- Yes, it is silly to act like the AIS lenses are Alt with your Nikons -- you need to embrace the Force and switch to Canon! Ha-ha!
Well, I'm trying to keep up with you two guys and Luka, but I must fall behind now and earn some money to pay for these recent purchases (last month, or so):
Zeiss ZE 21/2.8
Zeiss ZE 35/2
and most recently
Contax/Zeiss 80-200/4 Vario Sonnar -- that Carsten has been raving about and showing tantalizing photos from! I should get in two days, but the adapter may be a day or two after.
Eventually, I'll try to get the ZE 50/2 MP, but that will probably be some time from now.

That would be like cutting my nose off to spite my face! Anyway, it will be a rare occurrence, as I am using my Zeiss lenses most of the time, and the Nikon 200/2 VR almost all the rest of the time. My two AI-S lenses are great, but they are outcompeted.

Got a Zuiko MC 35/2 in near mint condition for a very low price yesterday. Second good score in a week for me as last friday I also got a Minolta AF 50/1.7 for about half the usual CL price, also in great condition.

This'll be nice on my Mamiya Auto Bellows N. I should be able to get infinity focus with decent front standard movements.
Jim, I am super-interested in what results you can get with this. I own a Linhof Master Technika and continually wonder if I should track down some Zeiss lens for it...

Hah! Let me know if you're selling anything else.
Also what was the level of difficulty in doing the conversion?
Did you find infinity focus working at the stop or does it need to be backed off slightly from the stop.
Infinity worked perfect for me at the actual stop on my a900.
I did not find it that difficult but I have also completely disassembled lenses and shutters before. I can easily see how someone might not be comfortable converting the Contax lenses as there is a small spring which must be moved. You can see the instructions here and judge for yourself:

Carsten, I'll let you know.
Have you tried any Fujifilm glass on your Master Technika?
I was seriously thinking about getting one of these in the early 2000s, but then I went over to the dark side.
As far as your question goes:
The answer has to be, yes! Zeiss is nice, or should I say, neiss!
Haha I'll keep my eyes open, but I need to start using it more again before I spend money in that direction. I might well trade my MT for a used Ebony of some kind, or a new Chamonix. The MT is a piece of mechanical art, but it is bulky and heavy, and the movements are not as big as the other two.
I have current only Schneider lenses: 90/5.6 SA Linhof, 210/5.6 APO Symmar, and an older 135/3.8.

Carsten, you should also consider perhaps the Canhams, and possibly a Horseman LE/LS/etc. The canhams are light and pack up small, handles wides better than the MT generally. The horseman, although a monorail, can fold flat and packs well, and isn't crazy heavy. Plus has awesome movement potential, etc.
The ebony and chamonix are very nice too though! Not cheap but the best 4x5s tend to be pricey still, esp. field cameras, for some reason.
