Finally a wish comes through A 5cm Nikkor H.C M39 like new, and perfect. Not the one on this photo but same model in better condition, new. The one in the photo is still mine but defective,
This lens can only be used at 2.0 up close. Here are some random test shots from today. No processing, no color changes, as the Z6 made them with standard dr.
Rafael - you seem to be having better luck than I with the f2 version. I remembered it was sharper and more contrasty than the f1.4 version but on mine I've found the f1.4 version sharper, stopped down. At f2, the f1.4 is noticeable sharper than the f2. But as you say, the f2 is good close up, although it looks to me to be very sharp even at distance in your pics. What f stop are you at on those? On Flickr it says it's the S mount version but here it's the Leica screw mount?
And congrats. I hope you're going to post a pic of the pristine version, you know, some of us really care about your collection, maybe even too much.
Still trying to find a niche for me using the Z fc. So the goal was to only use that camera this weekend to decide if it is going to stay with me or move on to someone else.
There is one section of woods that I walk at least once a week and we have had a couple days of a good steady soaking rain. I have been waiting for a day like this with a wet understory and with overcast skies.
I decided on using the Micro-Nikkor 55mm/3.5 and was hoping for some mushrooms/fungi opportunities.
Posting a few with the dark tones of a wet forest bottom. Was very dark and I did not take a tripod, so had to shoot ISO6400. Shot with Vivid profile with modified sharpening, contrast and saturation settings in camera.
Most shots with using the flip out LCD screen. Still on the fence on that design. Really gets in the way of the camera straps when shooting low.

WOW, the first one blew my mind. You always have a way with developing nice rich tones, wish I could do that. So, you're shooting jpegs with this camera?

Thanks Leighton! I always shoot RAW+jpg. And since it took Capture One so long to come out with support for the Z fc NEF files I started messing with setting my own profiles in Picture Control for in camera profiles. Also use jpg for my slow iPad
What I am attempting to do is to have the Z fc as my take anywhere camera because it is so small and light, I can just throw it in my backpack or any bag I may be carrying. But I am finding the kit lens too slow for what I wanted to use it for.
Just need some more time with it. The 45P adapted is a good small package. I just have to realize there are no small, somewhat fast wide angle options for it.

I am not aware of Picture Control.
There is a Nikon utility that allows you to build your own profiles. For things like sharpness, contrast, hue, clarity, saturation, etc. So you could really build your own “film simulation” and load it as a Custom profile in the camera. You can also do it via the menus in the camera.
Riccardo, these are very nice, especially the first image. Great textures and lines. That clay tile roof at the bottom of the image has wonderful colors and shapes.

George, these are very nice. I am with Leighton on his comments. Rich tones and three dimensional. Nicely composed. I was going to post some images of wild mushrooms that I took recently, but I think I will wait a page or two now.....

Thanks Scott! Go ahead and post, there is fungus among us. Ba da bump
Got side tracked messing around with a non-Nikkor rectilinear wide angle - the manual focus 17mm f3.5 RMC that I haven't used enough. It was guilt usage, and it needed to be remedied.
While looking for a rust shot back in 2015 I found this little guy hiding on a grill I was throwing out. The 200mm f4.0 ais micro was used

There's no hope for this one it seems, George. Looks like it was just a fling.
Still, I think the breakup will be pretty painless compared to the Leica
