The amazing artworks found here are probably attributable to the popularity of the "Annunciation". The painting attracted many visitors throughout the centuries including very talented artists and sculptors.
The Altar, beneath the dome:
One of the several frescoes decorating the walls of the arched entry area, early 16th century.

Thanks JIm. I got some hydroponic tomatoes, some small zucchinis and a head of broccoli. I'm hoping peaches will be there this Saturday.

A few pics from this morning. Taken with 55mm f/3.5 AI Micro (1979).
Two-wheeled French greatness: Peugeot PF-10, nee PFN-10. 1983, a bit younger than the lens.

The PF10 was a variant of the PX-10 but made with Vitus 181 (French) tubing instead of Reynolds 531 (English). Like most high-performance bikes back in the day they were equipped with sew-up tires. When equipped with clincher tires and wheels it was called the PFN-10. I built up this bike from a bare frame and used all original-style components. Since it now has sew-up tires it is a proper PF-10. N's need not apply, thank you.
Something quite a bit older than the lens.

I go to the market as much as possible until our vegetables start to come in. When we were growing for market, we had 2 acres in production, now, we're down to this, the little spot on the left with deer fence around it and our hoop-house, where we grow a lot of different things. It was very difficult for me to scale down after all those years of market growing.

What a lovely setting and lovely picture. (Do you have trouble with groundhogs?)
My sweetie wanted to walk through Brewster's Woods today. It's been a while. Since every day is a Saturday for me now, that's what we did. Of course I had to carry a camera. Actually two, but since one has film I can't yet post what it captured. The Z on the other hand managed a few interesting pics with the 300mm f/4.5 AIS w/ TC-14B.

We heard what sounded like Baltimore Orioles and eventually saw one.

On our way out past a field with birdhouses we saw what looked at first like bluebirds. Photographic evidence (probably admissible in court but maybe not as they were a long ways away) showed that they were tree swallows. Not the best pic but it will have to do.

We are inundated with groundhogs! When we had guardian dogs for our sheep, they took care of the issue. Now, I have electric netting around the garden to prevent their access.
Lovely Oriole, we rarely see them.

My sweetie wanted to walk through Brewster's Woods today. It's been a while. Since every day is a Saturday for me now, that's what we did. Of course I had to carry a camera. Actually two, but since one has film I can't yet post what it captured. The Z on the other hand managed a few interesting pics with the 300mm f/4.5 AIS w/ TC-14B.

We are inundated with groundhogs! When we had guardian dogs for our sheep, they took care of the issue. Now, I have electric netting around the garden to prevent their access.
Lovely Oriole, we rarely see them.
