I love that view. I was there a couple of years ago. What a wonderful city for photography. Nice capture here but that's not surprising coming from you.
Raining again in or little Borgo ("Village"). But that is good for photography.
So, out comes the weather rated SL3 and 28mm APO-SL. No worries at all.
The second shot was taken just a few feet away from the first by turning 90 degrees, minutes later. The third shot was just a few step forward from the first one. Parma is such a Target rich environment. Living in a painting.
Steve: perfect shutter speed for the streaking rain effect. Gotta love IBIS, right?

It is very popular and there is often a line of people waiting to get in as they limit the number allowed in at one time. Since it is almost directly across the street from my house I oftens stop by. This is the stairs leading up to the display area. This antique building has been beautifully restored and preserved. The light today was beautiful so I decided to wait for an interesting visitor to walk down the stairs and through the light. Today was drizzling and cold so I only went out for about 1 1/2 hours to test the new CFExpress card in my SL3. No issues again so I believe it was just a compatibility issue with the Lexar cards.

I like the light on the person better in the second but agree about the phone. Not only that the red is distracting (an easy 'fix' in post), but that the phone instantly dates the image. The first image feels timeless in comparison and for me, more mysterious.
Mr Singh who is originally from the Rajasthan Region of India is a Dairy truck driver here in Parma. He has been driving milk from the dairy to one of the famous Parmigiano Reggiano cheese makers for over 30 years. A very interesting, fun, and friendly guy. As I posted earlier, for my project I am going to focus on the Parma immigrant community a bit more this year. They are having a big impact on the current life in Parma. Mostly in a good way. I went to the other side of the river today where many of the immigrants tend to live, and had a fantastic Punjabi lunch. The Italian food here is the best they say, but I am from a Pacific Rim city, and have traveled extensively most of my life. I am used to, and often crave variety in my food. Not always easy to find here.
Charles Schultz, the creator of the Peanuts comics, made his home here in Sonoma County. The Sonoma County airport has the infamous Snoopy-Red Baron themed aircraft hanging from the ceiling.
Across the river that runs through the center of town are these tall narrow buildings. Most have balconies with lots of fun stuff to see in the details. I needed something long and narrow for a particular placement, so I thought I would give these building a try. This mid Winter shot is OK for now, but I think I will re-shoot the scene on a warm Summer evening when the balconies are full of people staying cool, cooking and enjoying the river views.
