Bikes are a ubiquitous form of transportation in the city center even on the coldest and wettest days. They are a perfect fit for the narrow and twisting streets. People wave and say hi as they move around the town. So much more friendly than the isolation that cars create. The bikes add a lot of fun and character to the city.
A few from the women's Winterfest tournament. Had participants from 1st timers to Pro.
Less than two weeks till the 1st Pro-Stop of 2026 and Missouri State Doubles.
Show court (full glass side / back walls) finished getting built a couple days ago ... floor varnish is drying, as we speak.
It's a beaut, can't wait to shoot it.
Currently one of the City owned exhibition spaces is showing a collection by American Photographer Steve McCurry. It is very popular and there is often a line of people waiting to get in as they limit the number allowed in at one time. Since it is almost directly across the street from my house I oftens stop by. This is the stairs leading up to the display area. This antique building has been beautifully restored and preserved. The light today was beautiful so I decided to wait for an interesting visitor to walk down the stairs and through the light. Today was drizzling and cold so I only went out for about 1 1/2 hours to test the new CFExpress card in my SL3. No issues again so I believe it was just a compatibility issue with the Lexar cards.

Our Duomo here in Parma is living art treasure. All normal Church activities are still held here. This image was shot as the Church members were leaving Sunday Mass. Of course this is a time when people visit friends and catch up on the week's happenings. Community is strong here. It was drizzling here all day so the city was awash in beautiful umbrella colors.

My vote is for the first image. The red (phone?) in his hand is distracting in the 2nd image to me.

While I like the subdued exposure of the light in the first, I like the lighting on the man in the second. Also, seeing the red phone in his hand in the second is a feature, part of the story. So, I like the second.
