Luka, great stuff. What a difference! Beautiful shot BTW
Now having a backup M9, I am finding very different corrections for each body with the same 35 Lux II, 28 Cron/Elmarit or ZM 25/2.8 using C1 Pro lens correction. Basically the correction is unique for each body/lens combo. It would seem each sensor has its own unique signature.
Very interesting that the correction needs to be for a body/lens combo. I didn't know that. It's a pity - I thought that making a CornerFix profile repository would be a good idea.
Finally, and I know you have all been eagerly awaiting this.. an Egyptian duck shot
Amazing shots Luka, including the ducks Love the composition to #1. The corrections to the ZM 18 look excellent
A cornerfix repository is an excellent idea regardless of the unique sensor signature. This is no doubt the reason why Leica is having a difficult time, with the in-camera lens corrections as they do differ considerably.
JOe,
wow. Nice film!
What camera are you shooting it with?
I have been on a little break from my digital M8.2 with an M6.
I just recently started developing my own neg's.
It's good to take a break from digital, I go about the shots so differently on the M6.
It takes me days to go through one roll of film.
Once I get a scanner, if there are no objections, I would love to post some shots from my M6.
Thank you Joe PP was via Silver Effex Pro for the effect!
Great shot BTW! Love the film stock. Still don't think you can convince me to return to film, although I am tempted
I've heard talk about the 21 4.5 ZM lens, and the mounting of it...
What's the deal with it? Can I just use the lens on my M9 without problems?
(Aside of course from the red corners)..
Whoa, Joe, that's quite some film stack you've got there. Do you only shoot 35mm or larger formats as well?
Adam, the 21/4.5 ZM is the only of the ZM lenses that Zeiss has explicitly declared unsuitable for the M9. The reason is that you get severe red and cyan color shifts.
Great light in those shots Shaun.
Charles, lovely portraits and really nice rendering!
Thanks Charles. That last image was actually a major failure on my part. I took the picture with permission (asked the guy) but I was in such a hurry that I focused and took the picture without recomposing. The image above is somewhat cropped in an attempt to improve the composition a bit. I don't know what I was thinking - his face is dead center in the image, the legs have been cut off.. bah.
It could have been a really good full body portrait had I only thought about it for a second instead of pressing the shutter the moment I got the focus right.
