Basically we se two ridges, the giant one with the big peaks and a lower one which goes across the frame and has all the trees. I sometimes hike there, and here is the view in the same direction from that large ridge:
This also taken from that big intermediate ridge, but now looking back at where I took the first two. If you look in the central frame there is a distant ridge on the horizon, and just under this is a couple small bumps, much closer. That's where I stood for the first two
These are the Pioneer Mountains, 1.5 billion years old and distinct from all the other local ranges I shoot.
So many many great photos in this thread. Definitely one of my most favorite threads.

It's really small and if you have a jacket with reasonable large pockets it's even makes my M9 pocketable Fun to shot with as well, it vignettes quite a lot but I have used it without any profile set.
Double post (sorry, but haven't shot anything personal in a while, so figured I'd double post here and on MFD thread since I've only used my S-system these last few weeks).
Bought a new lens, 45S. Took it out for a spin. Pretty decent. Feels a lot like a 50mm lens, but yet wide... Ahh the joys of semi-medium format photography. Wish it were faster (would have loved if it were a Summicron).
I would have killed for a few little clouds, but did the best I could with the cobalt sky. It's not so oppressive if you are near the horizon, where things lighten, but over the peaks on a day like this is tough for me. Winter against the snow I don't mind so much.
I think those are all 50 cron v4. #3 is wide open at a range where Puts says it beats the 50 lux asph. I shoot it alot at infinity f/8+, where it is very good, as in the last shot, but I need to remember it is a fantastic close up lens.
You already know what shots are good, of course. (I can't say I always do regarding my own stuff, but I don't have your experience.) I really enjoy your occasional shift from battlefield pro street/zone focus mode to wide open shots like this one and some rural stuff I've seen you do. You are as good at the one style as the other, I don't have to tell you, and you don't care anyway as you are confident in your skills but the wide open stuff is more rare and with your PP skills it really jumps
While shooting some Black and White video for my latest assignment, I took the opportunity to grab a couple of still shots. Both MM246 Lux 50. 2nd shot PP with SFX
A few that stand out - the storm shots by Gero and Ron, Edward's crisp street captures, Allen's amazing portrait, Gary's sunrise over Calgary and the later Summarit 90 shot, Adam's dreamy SL images; and finally Charlie's landscapes. I am in awe of the 'South faces of Cobb' shot!
I was up in Brisbane last weekend for a family thing, so had some time on my hands. I mostly shot my IR-modded Ricoh GXR, but also took along the M9 with Summarit 50, Summarit 90 , Z25 and CV21.
First three with Summarit 50/2.4 and last two Summarit 90/2.5.
