What does the Y48 and O56 filters do on the OM 16/3.5 fisheye? Understand they aid in the contrast for B/W. Are they of any use for colour, and digital?

the good budget lenses, imo, and considering size, are the 24/2.8, 28/3.5, made in japan 50/1.8, silvernose 50/1.4, very high serial number 50/1.4, 50/3.5 macro and 100/2.8. Also in your price range is the 21/3.5 if youre not too picky about condition. Just outside of 400 is the 50/2 macro which I personally think is a very nice lens. The 28/2 is most excellent but I think is 350 or something similar on ebay so it represents less of a good deal.
ok. thanks for this list. Now the next step up from here. While I understand the luxury lenses for OM are 18/3.5, 21/2, 35-80/2.8, 90/2, and the tele ED glasses. What are the performers that fall between budget and luxury, I shall call them the mid-price performers?

21/3.5 - $350-400
I have this one. It's stellar for the price. Really a poor's man DIstagon 21.
35-70/3.6 - $150-200
Had this one. 90% of 35-80/2.8, 5 times cheaper.
50/1.2 - $400
Would love to justify buying this one. But a 50/1.4 is on par IQ wise and $250 cheaper. Not worth 1/2 stop for me.
