1) you need to keep your fingers off the aperture ring, else it will either show up in the picture or accidentally smudge the front element. There is no place for front mounting filter, hood and the lens cap is loose for this lens.
2) strong vignetting on FF across all apertures at the far corners only. In fact only the 4 tips. So definitely will need some cropping.
3) it's f3.5 max aperture makes this lens very hard to use in the dark.
4) the built-in filters Y48 and O56 seems redundant in this digital age. If only there is a slot for placing ND filters.
But then I don't think anyone uses a FE all the time, so the form factor remains the most attractive as a lens to complement your main travel gears.
I found out, that in order to get the best bargains on ebay do not look at their lens category, just browse through the "Manual SLR's" section. Often you will find people who are selling a comlete SLR set (camera and lenses and accessories). Especially when the offer starts like this:
"I am selling the photo equipment of my late father. Unfortunately I have no idea about photography."
Often these bargains do not even start with a minimum price. That is how I bought the Zuiko f/2 24mm a few days ago. And on the picture I spotted a f/1.4 50mm with SN over 1 million.
initial testing shows my high sn 50mm f1.4 to have a significant advantage in center sharpness wide open. kind of sucks, I had wanted to sell this and keep my silvernose, but this is my night lens and I need to shoot it wide open.
