Which of the OM lenses are less than $400, small in size, stellar in performance, and have focal length usable both on FF and m4/3 (2x)?

that depends almost entirely on your definition of usable focal length.

the good budget lenses, imo, and considering size, are the 24/2.8, 28/3.5, made in japan 50/1.8, silvernose 50/1.4, very high serial number 50/1.4, 50/3.5 macro and 100/2.8. Also in your price range is the 21/3.5 if youre not too picky about condition. Just outside of 400 is the 50/2 macro which I personally think is a very nice lens. The 28/2 is most excellent but I think is 350 or something similar on ebay so it represents less of a good deal.

there are a few lenses Im on the fence about; mostly the 85/2 and the 35/2. not that I think either is bad, just not worth the price given their performance.

edit: 35mm prices are higher than I remembered them being.

ok. thanks for this list. Now the next step up from here. While I understand the luxury lenses for OM are 18/3.5, 21/2, 35-80/2.8, 90/2, and the tele ED glasses. What are the performers that fall between budget and luxury, I shall call them the mid-price performers?
