I saw the lights above and was wondering if you added lights from the side or if there were floor shop lights around.
I am having trouble with my Elinchrome set. The transmitter works in test, but it does not work on my R5C. I called Elinchrome and Canon, no help. I need to put it on the 7D to see if it works on that hot shoe. I know the R5C has the new hot shoe, but those pins are forward of the normal hot shoe pins.

On a happier note, JIII and I are getting serious about our bird photography. He's using my Olympus Tough, and I'm stuck with that old RF600/4....................
Nice variety of birds, Jim. Lately I have been shooting mostly hooded mergansers in a local pond, not much else to shoot. I tried to find owls but no luck.

Thanks Jan Arie! Sure miss seeing you! I'm sitting at HQ right now, just brought the Cub back from East Texas. Wish you were here with me, we'd go bore some holes in the Texas sky!

So sorry Dan, you two need to go to Mexico and walk across the Rio Grande into Texas, the benefits are wonderful! By the way, "thank you for your service, but please step to the side and let who knows what walk right in and claim what you deserve", what a crime!
Brandon is too busy to help you out, he's on the phone letting Iran and Iraq know exactly where we plan to retaliate, you know, like they do for us................ November cannot come too soon!
Yeah to bad the orange Jesus told maga Mike to stop the bill that could really help all that. And Dan don't forget according to ole cheeto you and I and those that served are suckers and losers. Daddy was able to keep him home with bone spurs( ha) while a real hero like John McCain was in a prison camp being tortured.
Brother Dan, FWIW, DoD is now reporting that it no longer requires radiographic evidence to support a claim for TBI, concussive episode exposure and memory loss. Those data are as recent as a month ago, according to the DoD website I'm on. So those men (and the few women) who have been exposed to concussive blast effects, eg., what is commonly called "Breachers' Syndrome'", no longer are required to have MRI documentation to support a claim of TBI, post-concussive syndrome. That said, it does NOT mean that anyone can claim that damage is exempt from providing all documentation. There must be contextual evidence justifying it, and failing to be smiled at by Mickey f'g Mouse walking into an amusement park would fail as contextual evidence.
I would add this: my speculation is that the six or seven season series "Seal Team" had more than a little to do with the change in DoD's position. David Boreanez produced and directed it, and an exquisite job he and his fellow actors, some of whom were Seals, devoted multiple episodes to that very issue. I'm very much like Douglas... I watch little on TV. I give you all a warning, however, should you want to take on the task of watching Seal Team: Do NOT do it before retiring for a "good night's sleep." Do NOT do it if any of your family are week-knee'd. The series is immersive, as much or more so than flying my reasonably sophisticated flight sim. This series is as realistic as it gets, trust me. I've watched it three times and have learned more from it relative to my clinical practice w/ military and LEO than all but one CE program back in 2002.
And for those of you who saw combat, in whatever theatre, don't be surprised if you revisit "escapees from the little brain box." And if those experiences transport you to "there and then," from out of the "here and now," just tell the little f***er's to get back and then you slam the lid. Unless of course they have something fully new to tell you that you never knew. In which case, you know to reach out to a battle buddy protocol and follow it. Be ultra-wary of "medicate and isolate." Ask me how I know that.
S/F Tony. I have been on medicare but I have appointments with the VA next month. I recently found out I qualify for VA medical benifits becasue I was stationed at New River. My daughter was born at Camp Lejeune Naval Hospital.
Copy that, Allen. persistence is the key, as I'm sure you know. Don't take any bullshit from anybody. Get an Atty if you need one. Adapt, improvise, overcome and keep on pushing!! S/F, Brother, Tony

Thank you J-A! A side note, the Xi virus finally got me after dodging it for 3 years. Very mild symptoms so far but it’s the first day I feel sick.
Regardless which side you are on, it’s a damn shame this country can only field two old men to lead the free world.
Well Douglas, I am kind of tied up taking sports photos for the paper, so I can't run, especially on my salary and Social Security.

As you know us old jarheads have little tolerance for BS. I think our Army friends (Dan) are a lot like us in that regard.
Been absent from the forum for a while, busy with work, attending a forum in Florida, and also just enjoying some "fun time" in MIA also.
My friend took me to a place he knows about at MIA to "try" night shots. He's been doing it for quite some time, this is my first and very lame attempt at it.
I have lots to learn about this new part of aircraft photography.

I'd get that bad case of TDS looked at if I were you...........................
Nah. Why would I do that. I love this country. Not one political party and especially not one man. Those that don't learn from history are bound to repeat it. When you tell a lie loud enough and long enough it can become the truth.

S/F all of you all. Tony...Show more →
Oh I was faithful in watching "Seal Team" brother! Then COMCAST made everyone here pay for it! Even on Pluto tv!
It has become a "game" back here to get anyone to medically advise you that does not have "something in the game". JUst had an CT scan, Echocardiogram and MRI and I can't get my gasto/cardio doctor to return my calls to tell me what they said!
I have the paper report and a CD but dont understand "medical-eze".
Wish my mother was here, she was a radiologist!

Thank you Dan! These were shot in a pond near me. The hooded mergansers only show up in winter. They are very skittish. As soon as they see human approaching, they swim away. So in a lake or big pond, forget about it. They are fun little ducks. You will find them in ponds in your area too.

Suzanne and I have to head over to St Anthony's before Lent. Thought it might be the pond near the monks living quarters!
Thanks!
Dan
Sorry to hear you did not escape "the bug"! We kept getting vaccinated but I caught something in November that was/ is still lingering! Any/all tests show nada, nothing, zilch, bupkiss!!!!!
