I have tried to begin this "sequel" thread about five times, but it wouldn't let me. Let's see if it will go through this time.

Great shot of you Steve! Something most people don't realize about air to air, the ratio of happening to not happening is disproportionate on the "not happening" side of the scale. Problem is, it takes all of the same planning and energy to not do one........without any of the fun.

Just got a e-mail from CPS saying 3/21 for repair of 1d4. Don't know if I need to thank Jim for that, if so Thanks.

Thanks for the thought Mike, but I don't think my Canon guy had time to contact them in the last 24 hours because he was on an out of town project. Regardless, the result is what we were looking for, so great! I don't have any "upgrades to sell you at this point so hang on to it!
My next step will most likely be when the 5DSR II is released, don't think they'll do anything with the 1DXII for a bit.
Looking forward to the Heart of Texas Airshow this weekend in Waco, TX, haven't been to a show there in years (decades? 1987 may have been the last one...hmm)
Thunderbirds are always fun to see!
And looking towards next Wednesday when the Collings Foundation Wings of Freedom Tour arrives at Love Field....Lord willing.... it should be epic for the Boy and I ( hint hint )
Just picked up a really nice Airbus project to round out the month of March! Hoping that a B25 A2A is involved at some point in the assignment as well.

Wait, they are coming to Temple? Zane, I am going to try to get to Waco, maybe Saturday. I am going to have to look up Collings' Tour for Temple, this is the first I have heard about them coming to Temple.

Glad he has you as a resource out there!
Aint that the truth! Steve definitely lived up to the hashtag #flygooddontsuck !
Good morning Ken! Yes, that is too bad. We have received a lot of inquiries from Fence Checkers at ISAP. Fence Check kind of originated the Photo Call concept and now there members are kind of out there in the wind, hope we can help them in some small way.
Good example of how a few jerks can destroy something good.
Collings were in San Marcos the last couple of days; they fly out at noon today and go to Stinson in San Antonio, before Temple next week. Seems like the marketing for this tour has been minimal at best; the only reason I knew they were there is because a friend posted on Facebook.

More obsessive compulsive Chickasaw...
That's okay Jeff, we love to analyze here. We are all photo monitors, and by the way, that's a hell of a nice photo. I see nothing wrong, keep on keeping on.

Naw, if you were truly obsessive compulsive you'd have looked for number plates and then tracked down in service photos of that airframe.

Interesting you mention the SN for this airframe. There are 75 H-19's in this storage yard and we've gotten most of the SN's. There is a website where we can look them up and have found the history on this particular Chickasaw. A fun research project.
