Lorain County Regional Airport visitor last week.
New to me 1946 Luscombe , neat history on the company and this one was very very nice!
Piper Cub J5A 1941 getting hand started.
That little Luscombe will teach you what to do with your hands and feet very quickly. Sweet flying airplane with an attention getting stall and very quick ground handling characteristics.
Under the heading of, "Nothing is as it once was..." next day isn't really next day anymore, it's next time they get a chance, or when they are darn good and ready. I ordered a Canon XF605 from an Austin supplier and specified Saturday delivery so I could get it configured for an assignment on Tuesday....................crickets.
I keep thinking that I ought to have all the photography business in the country at this point because it seems that I'm one of the few people in business who still pays attention to any sort of schedule or decorum......ugh! Seems like, between Biden's "supply chain" debacle and people still working from home, everyone has just gotten flat out lazy about keeping commitments.
I finally have all the components to configure the R5C the way that I want it for video work. The Ninja V+ and a Rode video Mic and it will be ready to roll. The V Mount battery will power it for 5+ hours shooting 8K /29.97
Thanks Douglas, it's my happy place and I feel very blessed to have had it for all these years. I've churned a lot of work out of that little office, it's so peaceful I can work away without interference. I have Sheila convinced that the hangar walls don't let cell signals in.......which is partially true...... ).
Just returned from the International Air Tattoo it was ridicules hot even hotter today they except around 40C ( 104 F ) that doesn't happen often over here.
So I crawled in my cool space.
It took me a lot of effort to take some photo's that gear is way heavy.
My mate Marcel had a new mirrorless body and a new 800 from canon that is just shy of 2 kg it's a little getting used to but under the right circumstances produces some good imagery.
I am on assignment in Virginia to photograph two aircraft, and this Global Express Sentinel R.1 was taxiing out for a secret sortie of some kind. Raytheon owns the jet.
Very unusual compared to the "normal" Global Express jets that I photograph.
