I was at Meacham Airport early on Tuesday morning to photograph a Cessna 421 for a client of mine and this Pilatus PC-24 was departing.
I've been fortunate enough to fly on one of these jets from Dallas to Houston and I was very impressed with the jet. Nice smooth ride, lots of room on board and it's a Pilatus, so it is rugged, too. It can land on dirt and grass runways. Not a lot of jets can say that!
Yup! I took the 1.4 RF Extender with me just in case, but didn't need it. BTW that is a handy tool to have for a little extra reach and it's very sharp, but AF functions and tracking slow down to an intolerable degree when it's attached.
So much has changed for us in photography over the years. I shot the equivalent of 40 rolls of 36 exposure film last evening just messing around. That's 40 x $14 x $14 = $1120, not likely I would have done that just for grins had it not been "free".
Thank you! I used to know the Rangers chief photographer and he was always inviting me out to shoot the games, but somehow I never found time. I'd like to shoot from the photographers boxes now, but I'm sure he is long gone.
Just saw this on YT, Belgian F-16 Royal International Air Tattoo 2022. The pilot was pulling some amazing maneuvers that I haven't seen an F-16 doing stateside.
