Hate to tell you but this is Cali...By a few hundred yards,
Well if its in the Mt Shasta and North area GREAT!!!!! The further south and LA is here! One thing that I became totally aware of when I spent summers at CL as a radio tech for the NPS-MaxSig Comm-Medford. There were "locals" and then there was everybody else.

It’s crazy what they get for hanger space up here, and it’s mainly all California Jets.
The hanger they built five years or so ago was for two 737 biz jets and they sold one and have one big fancy one.
It’s got the N# that Taylor Swift was trying to buy,
The second 737 has been sitting outside and is for sale but no one’s biting and been sitting there for over a year now.
I think it’s down to 85MIL +/- ...Show more →
Hangar space all over the country is scarce, but it is non-existent in Texas. Looks like the guy wants the whole hangar and everything fits perfectly so we are just working out a couple of small details. Unfortunately the people that are in this hangar are going to have to find other accommodations, and there aren't any. I feel bad but at some point business is business, these hangars are expensive propositions, even if you own them outright.
Chandler will be spreading his wings, literally, on Thursday. I have an important assignment all day and into the evening so he is headed out on a Citation to Alabama to shoot an L39 air to air. Should be a fun day for him and a great opportunity to exercise his talents and all that he has learned over the years. I've dropped Chandler in the grease several times over the years and he always comes through, this will be the first time he is tasked with a complex assignment and I'm not by his side. I think it will be a tremendous experience for him.

Gorgeous light!!
Just booked my ticket to Belgium for the Sanicole show, the main draws for me are the F-4s, Lancaster, and the Grippen. Will do a little bit sightseeing in two old towns too. Hope the weather will cooperate.

Thanks Doug!!. I am going to London Ontario for a evening show this year. Hope to get some raptors in the sunset light . The raptor team is skipping the Toronto CIAS show this year as its replaced by F-35 team.

Jim,
I was over to the airport yesterday and stopped by the County's office. You are indeed correct. They have NO hanger space available.
A contractor will begin to build new hangers in a separate section of the property.

The London Ontario show is on my bucket list! I will wait for a better lineup...
Glad to wrap up this week and not have something staring me in the face for today. Love the work but the heat is really taking its toll. Spent all day yesterday (Friday) on an outdoor assignment that wrapped up around 8:30 last evening. Next week looks like it has a couple of mild cool fronts making their way across the Red River with some associated rain and temps in the 80's. Fronts in Texas are rarities in August, but we'll take them when we can get them.
Chandler hit it out of the park on his first solo assignment. He had some challenges, all of which he managed to overcome, flew higher than he has ever flown....FL410, and came home with a card filled with great images. I'm very proud of how he handled himself and our client on this shoot, he has officially left the nest!

Beautiful cardinals!
I was set to go to the sunset show at Military Aviation Museum near Virginia Beach this afternoon, I love shooting at sunset but it's 250 mile from me and the ticket is $75. So I decided to save myself some trouble and $$. No shows for me until next month in Belgium, then Oceana. I will be at the Sanicole show in Belgium the same weekend they have the show at Andrews. I have seen the same performers at Andrews this year dozens of time so I am not really missing much.
For now I have to be content with some hummers in my yard.
The Lord certainly Blessed him with a beautiful canvas. Chandler is a cowboy spirit and not given to showing his emotions, but he was pretty happy the night we worked through his images. Not being with him was tough for me, but I knew that it was time, and that going it on his own was going to be very good for him.
