Yup, been slammed and doing what we do every day in 95 + begins to take it's toll. The temps will break here in another month and it will be delightful again. That little piece of Texas goes for a little over $2M, I'm not a big fan of that Oklahoma Red Rock on houses but that one carries it off nicely. I have enough trouble keeping our place manicured, glad I don't have to mow and trim that one!
Mississippi Kites are in the hawk family I believe, but feed mostly on airborne insects, beautiful birds with a very pretty wing structure. We have four or five of them circling over our house in the morning and evening, they are adept aerial hunters and very graceful flyers.

Darn fine texture and detail Jim!!
Dan
Ok, nice bird Jim, I thought that.
That bird almost looks like he could be a statue.
Funny how they like insects so much, the ones I have seen hover a lot flapping their wings ready to catch a mole, mouse or whatever. Had one by my work for quite a while but I could never get a picture of and one I saw in California.
The one's I have seen ( 3 or 4 is all ) are more of a whitish color & have red eyes, I call them the devil bird but very strange looking. We have the white tailed kite I guess. Probably pretty neat watching it with the drone as long as he doesn't attack it thinking it's a big juicy mosquito.
Some pixs from an ole cabin I have been visiting for decades and more...Donomore Meadow Cabin, ca...1935...I made the sign on the right side of the door about 15 years ago...

The place of my birth James!
My father finished college at Drake while my mother nurtured a baby then we moved to Ft. Dodge for 10 years.
Love anything Iowa!
Go Hawkeye's!
Great photography!

James had gone home last evening and I was just sitting by his little forest area listening to all of the birds. This guy walked up looking for an easy dinner...............
Headed out to the hangar to see if two new Honda Jets will fit in one them. Had lunch with a guy who has them and he isn't all that excited about keeping them in a gang hangar at city rates of $4000 a month.....each. "WeeBeeSee!"
Well? It might help Jim, after 90 years it’s a leaning a little. 11mm is all I had.

Better move before your lunch.

It’s crazy what they get for hanger space up here, and it’s mainly all California Jets.
The hanger they built five years or so ago was for two 737 biz jets and they sold one and have one big fancy one.
It’s got the N# that Taylor Swift was trying to buy,
The second 737 has been sitting outside and is for sale but no one’s biting and been sitting there for over a year now.
I think it’s down to 85MIL +/-
