Beautiful pixs Douglas,
Got my B-25 shoot this weekend and airshow as well.
Here's what I did this weekend-

.
New website is up as well,

WOW brother!
I watched both videos.....so sharp, so clean, multi dimensional....How about some background on how you accomplished this feat?
Your website is fantastic also. Looks to have many "man hours" building it!
Bill there is a over on the "F&M" thread that you might want to interject your experience.
You did the videos with a drone? Does the drone have its own camera? Inquiring minds would like to know!
Again OUTSTANDING video and photography.

Notice Crater Lake Rim on last video
Indeed I did Bill!

And please excuse my ignorance of drone photography! I view what you gentlemen post and really don't think , I do but mind's retentivity ()of the "workflow" is low , about how the video was made and what equipment it used or the "driver" of the joystick's purpose of taking said video.

Yes, they all have cameras now a days, and good one's.
I have the DJI mini 4 pro and Mavic 3 pro and Avata Pro. ( can you tell the difference between the $1000 videos and the $3000 videos ? NOPE!
Been doing a lot of range testing between the Mini4 and Mavic3, not much difference, Mini 4 Pro is a beast!!!
Working towards 107 lic and have 3 gigs lined out and other fun stuff on the side.
.
Jim and Mike got the Mavic 4 pro, I almost got one when one popped up in NY but didn't have the money and wanted to wait to see what all's going on with DJI and stuff if ya know what I mean.
.
240 Galleries and 6000 pictures on site...Took 3 months to swap it over but all done and adding weekly-
Hung out with helicopters all weekend, Huey's, Chinooks, Black Hawks, Kmax, Skycranes, S-61A Sikorski's...

I believe your input would be very knowledgeable for the members inquiry about SM time to develop your fantastic website Bill.
Again super photography and NO I could NOT tell the difference in the 2 videos.

These 2 were with same drone, I meant on my page...And I went to the FM forum.
Nice work Bill. Not difficult to see, looking at the health of some of those pine trees, how a forest fire is unstoppable. What is causing the decline in those trees, Pine Beetle, haven't heard much about acid rain, that was a big buzz word for decades.
I have been so slammed that I haven't had time to put the M4 in the air yet. The drone is all updated and ready to fly, just haven't found some time where I can devote full attention to getting to know it. Fortunately I have Mike to keep me up to date with his experiences.

Thanks Jim-
Most all the dead trees you see are fir, pine and cedar...The pup fire went thru there and wiped it out back in 2017 or so.
Good ole fire season like normal here anymore. The beetles do there fair share of killing trees as well but not so much up higher I think, more down low and east. Acid rain, ya, haven't heard that for a long time either. All areas west of those are wilderness and very, very steep and thick so hard to fight from the ground other than air tankers during fires. Not much logging going on like the 80's/90's so plenty of trees to burn. After the burns there is so much timber that could be used but it just stands there and looks ugly, rots and becomes more of a fire danger in the years later.

I bet that Mav 4 will be just like the Mav 3 Jim, or that's what it looks like to me, so I bet you'll have it mastered in no time at all.
I have some pretty impressive still shots from my Mav 3 of the rocks, going to post soon as they have turned out really well.
Can't wait to see how good the pixs are out of the Mav 4.
.
I'm pulling a Douglas and driving 4+ hrs one way for my B-25 shoot Thursday and then a few days of 180mile round trips to the air show Friday, Saturday and Sunday with 90+ degree heat. Got some drone flights planned long the ways tho-
Re: The Mavic 4 Pro, when you take it out of the box you realize that it is a much beefier drone than the Mavic 3. Build quality is very nice on the 3, but it is a whole new level on the M4., fit and finish is exceptional. I got the creator combo so it has the deluxe controller, again a bit heavier. I'm gong to try to fly it this week.

Keep us updated.
I like the RC Pro Remote, just don't have an extra grand for it. I don't like how the Mav 3 controller doesn't have antennas on it tho-
.
Did you get the DJI RC Pro 2 Remote Controller or the RC Pro Remote ?
Well guys, it's been a busy couple weeks getting to know the Mavic 4 Pro. some of the improvements are of course better stills and better video. It was a big investment to throw in the air with no recourse if it crashes. I've used it on a couple jobs so far and wandered out in the mountains trying to beat the heat. It is so sad to see the dead snags in Bill's forest. I grew up in a logging community in Northwest Montana and the saying was "Log it or Burn it!" Here is a video from our area in SW Washington where it is being logged and hopefully not burned. Forest management is critical. We need the balance.

In the 'Darned if you do and darned if you don't' category:
About eight years ago we rode the Grand Canyon Railway from Williams, AZ to the Grand Canyon. Along the route as we passed the forrest in northern AZ they announced the burned areas were from controlled burns to keep wildfires from destroying the entire forrest. They were very proud of these efforts.
Fast forward to yesterday when I read the Grand Canyon Lodge had burned from an out of control "controlled burn".
