It looks like they moved it way earlier for 2025, now March 22-23 (https://californiacapitalairshow.com). That should hopefully eliminate problems with heat distortion and smoke from fires.
I'll be attending the California International Airshow is Salinas week after next, staring the T-Birds and the Patriots L-39 jet team.

At least it won't be 113 degrees......Man that was hot out there.
Just saw the T-Birds few weeks ago and down there with you as well and they will be here next year and hoping for my pass to hang out on the front line with them for a few days... Both shows were hot and too much smoke I'd say.

Been all over the place lately and I'm very thankful for all the jobs.
Here is a King Air B300 that I photographed recently in Florida. Heading out this afternoon to photograph a very sharp Embraer Phenom 100. Can't wait to show you the paint scheme on it.
I had an opportunity to shoot some video for The Dallas Zoo yesterday. This clip is a great demonstration of the adhesion of the AF in the R5 MKII. Never lost AF, even when other subjects got in the way. Another nice feature is, when exposed correctly, the footage is beautiful straight out of the camera.
The phrase "game changer" has been worn out, but I'm beginning to think that this camera is going to allow its users to improve focus hit rates by a huge amount. Like every new camera, it will take some time and effort to tweak just the right combination of tracking settings, but when you get those set uo to your liking, this thing is magical!
