Beautiful and warm last night. Trying for some milky way shots but no luck, moon was too big and bright.
.
Beautiful this morning as well with no fog...Flew the drone out a mile to a rock out in the ocean and back, little scared but made it...Can't wait to edit and post some. Slow motion mode is pretty good as well.
This is a young man we did a feature on this week. He is super nice and respectful. He was very patient with me as I asked him to wait for a cloud to cover the sun during the early afternoon 100° weather. These kids are not only coached in athletics, but they also include life coaching. Fun to be around.

And a beautiful morning...Got some killer footage of the new drone flying along the coast this morning at low tide.

I showed this to a dear friend who studied at Johns Hopkins and was an astrophotographer at the Hubble Space Science Inst here( he is from Romania) and he remarked that this is one of "thee" best photo camera images of the moon he has ever seen Jim.
And he used the HUbble and Webb telescopes.
Fantastic and Handheld!

Spent a week in St Maarten and only got to SXM for about 2 hours to shoot. But had a great time none the less! Here is a KLM A-332 touching down and holding the nose off forever.
You want vapors? You got vapors.. It actually rained a bit when the Blue Angels were taxing out. I thought they would stop the show but they didn't.
This time I made a change of lens selection. In the last few years usually I had the 600 GM F4+1.4TC on one camera, the 200-600 on another. I had used the 300 GM+2X TC and the 100-400 instead of the 600 GM+1.4TC and the 200-600 a few times in the last few months. For the Oceana show, I brought the 300 GM, 600 GM and a 1.4TC, no zoom. I had the 1.4TC on the 600 GM for a short while, and put it on the 300 GM. So for much of the show I was using 600mm on one camera and 420mm on another. I think this was the first time ever I didn't bring a zoom to an airshow. It was a mistake. A zoom lens really comes in handy at times.
