Thanks Dan! He was quite a guy.
"Pappy" was part of an ARMY magazine article I did on the 150th Anniversary of Arlington Natl Cemetery!
Amazing how many "stars" were heroes and are buried here!
Thanks!

Hi All. I have been following this group for a few years now. I'm from Australia and have tickets to the Battle of Britan Airshow in September at Duxford. Anyone have any tips on the best places to capture the aircraft from? I have a Canon R5 and RF 100-500. Thanks in advance.
Hi Paul if you look at Duxford airfield on Google maps then I knew of two spots were you could get some good shots.
On the left hand side you have the Air and space hall when you enter it's on you left hand side near the ARC or aircraft restoration company.
And on the right hand side near de land warfare hall a place called the tank bank.
But I don't know and i can't find it if that space is still accessible during displays.
But there are always places to be found.
At both places you have chance of banking shots, but I have no idea about the light in September.
But during the summer shows you always have backlight.
And normally the shows are always quite busy.
I have to see if I can find some photo's so you can see what I mean.
But i hope you have a cracking day.
Yes there are. Back in 2001 we visited Arlington while I was working on the Ocean City Longport Bridge Project. It was sobering to realize so many gave all for our freedom.
Just got an email inviting me to lunch with the R5II next week. Looking forward to having a look, but the proof will be in a few weeks when I get mine.
I can't wait to hear the review after you get yours. I have held off on the R5 waiting on this new model. Can't wait to see if it is worth the extra coin.

As I have stated before here, there is an active member here that was an Italian AF pilot!
Again super images and a beautiful daughter!

Thank you Dan. Yes, I heard you mention that. I hope he gets to see these. I'd be happy to give him the originals, if desired.

Give a good lookin' over Jim!
I will await your analysis!!!!! I am in the market for mirrorless !!!! I am leaning towards a non Canon body that excels in IQ and IBIS and B&W conversions!
