Love seeing the F4-U's! I remember watching Baa Baa Black Sheep with Robert Conrad many years ago. Boyington Field in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho is named for Pappy Boyington the local legend.

I agree, I love the F4-U and Pappy (I loved the TV show). The Navy transferred many Corsairs to the Marines due to the carrier performance although the Navy did have a few squadrons onboard carriers.
Wonderful shots, Jeff! I love of closeup shots! The color in the last one is amazing. These evening shows are so much better. I wish there were more of them.
Hi All. I have been following this group for a few years now. I'm from Australia and have tickets to the Battle of Britan Airshow in September at Duxford. Anyone have any tips on the best places to capture the aircraft from? I have a Canon R5 and RF 100-500. Thanks in advance.
Last Friday we were treated by a rare event, a recovery of a U2S with senior span pod on his spine returning from a real life mission during a airshow.
He had departed during the early hours of that morning a real treat.
The next day one of the other based U2's preformed a role demo with the chase car very cool to see, and after that he went on to the static show for all visitors to see.
Also because end of life date for the U2 fleet is also already announced ( date not known by me)

G'day cobber!
You have asked a great question and the members here will give all the "skinny" on where to shoot!
Let's see those rippers when you get them!
G'day!
