In M mode with Auto-ISO, you hold the ISO button and adjust EC with the rear dial.
Yes I know. But it's a poor implementation if you have aperture set on the lens control ring. Now you have two dials doing the same thing...And I want shutter at the front wheel and EV comp on the rear as Ev comp is on the rear for the auto modes.
Not having the dials customisable is a mistep by Hasselblad.

It's no worse an implementation than any mainstream camera that 1) doesn't have an EC dial and 2) has an EC button you hold.
It COULD be more customizable, yes, but it's not inherently BAD and lord almighty is it still world's better than no M + Auto ISO with easy access to EC.

OK. It's complete shit. The ONLY control you can assign EV to is the control ring. You can't assign it to a button like SrMi said. So you can't use auto ISO and EV at all on a P series lens. And the ring is aperture for me.Basically auto ISO in manual remains unusable to me.

Finally some good looking images shot on this camera! The video script & V.O was super cringe, but I'm appreciative of the overall production value and real world usage feedback.
O Lord, from here on in I promise to be good, but in return please save me from influencers.

For a guy that claims to have used every modern camera under the sun, you sure are hung up on an INDUSTRY STANDARD.

that would be like shooting an image at 20 secs 🤣 so far the best its done is 2 secs, even 2 secs is impressive
why call it 10 stops when its 5
I assume 10 stop center and 8 stop corners is according to the standardized new CIPA test. It is not something manufacturers pull out of the hat. There has always been a discrepancy between CIPA test numbers and reality. The new CIPA test is tougher than the old one (center) and now includes numbers for the corners. The stabilization numbers were measured with a specific lens (see spec).

It probably depends on how "mortal" one is - or how young and steady - or how much Kool-Aid you drink! I typically get half or less of any typical IS rating in the real world when scrutinizing an image critically. Even with the X2D II, at least one influencer (Hugh - Three Blind Men) stated he was able to get "only" five stops (down to 1/25 sec.) using the X2D II with the 35-100 lens (at 100mm's, which is still very good imo). He does state that he is able to achieve an additional two stops with his SL3 + 90mm APO Summicron (close to the 100 on the X2D) and even more with smaller format OM Systems by comparison. All this to say that most folks will never see anything close to 10 stops out of the X2D II and will be lucky to achieve half that rating, which would still be a very good real-world performance.

RE: 10-Stop IBIS
It will come down to shooting technique if you're going to get the "max benefit".
Hasselblad is stating they are getting 10-stops center frame, 8-stop corner via their CIBA Standard testing. Interestingly they used the XCD 3,5/120 Macro lens for their tests.
From their site:
1. 10-stop stabilisation at the image centre and 8-stop at the edges. Measured by Hasselblad with the XCD 3,5/120 Macro lens using CIPA standards.
Basically this uses a hexapod platform to shake the camera modestly with the lens pointed at a chart. However, the biggest flaw in this standard is it doesn't take into account sway, drift, and sag that humans usually display when doing handheld imaging. And those specific factors become more of an issue the longer the exposure. That said, if you can minimize those factors you'll be very surprised at what you can pull off handheld with modest shake being the only factor.
Generally I wouldn't recommend shooting an 8 second handheld shot with a 120mm lens, but 10-Stop IBIS quoted from a generally well accepted and standardized testing method certainly reads better than "improved IBIS".

The only lens Hassy claimed you could get "several second" exposures with was the 25V, and as noted, the CIPA rating was with the 120 Macro. 3 different asterisk footnotes in their marketing
