Anyway, can anyone remind me of the read out speed difference between 14bit and 16bit files?
16-bit on the GFX 100mp cameras is around 1/3 second. A 16-bit ES handheld shot is nearly guaranteed to produce warping. 14-bit ES is 1/6 sec. I assume Hasselblad 100mp sensor shares the same exposure transit times.

Does this mean the old used ones are finally gonna go down in price. The used price for the Hasselblad is ridiculous. The Fujis have dropped way down. And the Fuji lenses are cheap enough. The Hassleblad is like 1500 for the kit lens. Cause of the leaf shutter? Why would someone buy a Hasselblad if they can get the Fuji. Unless they are an older person who had their assets inflate to ridiculous values at expense of the younger generation who has to work 3 jobs just to afford rent and will never afford a house and will never afford kids.

Almost like DJI tech is trickling down
In one of the recent reviews, Panasonic was mentioned as working with Hasselblad on the IS. Seems odd (given DJI ownership) but Panasonic does have some of the best IS tech.

The new 35-100 zoom is very tempting and with the IBIS, aperture is less of an issue unless a large aperture lens is needed for certain aesthetic reasons. On X2D, I can easily go down to 1/5 sec with the 38V.
I still like some of the older "fat" XCD lenses including 90 3.5 which is stellar and at used prices, a steal. 80 F1.9 big, fat, heavy with performance to match. Sold both because I now place a premium on size / weight.
But for the newer ones 38V and 90V make a good pair. If weight and size are not in consideration then 35-100 and call it a day. Add 45p for days when a smaller kit is needed.

Which two lenses would you consider essential for this system...offering both good low-light performance and a versatile focal range?

RE: Leaf Shutter and general "cost thoughts".
Pros and Cons. Flash users will like Leaf Shutter due to the very high sync speeds, but also it's very useful for any sort of sensitive high quality work or low light exposure as a Curtain-Style Shutter may induce vibrations. Subtle, but notable and something you can test when you have both systems in front of you.
Fuji vs. Hassy. These are all generally what I would consider premium cost systems. For me feature set, color, and the newer glass (particularly the V primes) is what made me go with the X2D and it was a tough call. But Fuji has some big strengths when it comes working with adapted glass or those seduced by 10-bit binned 4K video. Spending a day or 5 with both systems will really help guide you in what you find enjoyable and valuable when it comes to the shooting experience.
From a fairly grounded perspective, I'm not expecting medium format bodies of any sort to true punch it out with state of the art full frame/135 bodies when it comes to things like autofocus and video features. I am hoping they do punch up to the level of providing the best image quality possible as well as a larger format size.

I bought the X2D when it came out. My assets are not inflated. For smart younger people, they can work just one job at Jane Street and buy as many X2Ds as they want. Or, if they have 3+ years as a quant, OpenAI and others are falling over each other to grab them, total comp $700k+ in addition to equity. Enough to buy a house or two.

Camera is in hand. Lens arrives next week. Only had it an hour but already I know the animal eye af is dodgy. Even with the eye detected focus is on the nose half the time. No people to point it at yet. Normal af is somewhat faster and very good in low light. Grip pattern is subtle in real life and very grippy. Noticably softer than the X2D. Joystick is small but actually works well. Rear screen is massively more usable. Start up on X2D is faster after lens upgrade, or at least that's what it feels like.
I'll need to test around some people over the next few days to say if it's worth the upgrade.

I am glad to see that the sensor appears to be the same. I cringed at the rumors of 50-100% more pixels crammed onto the size of the sensor. I think 100mp is likely the max density that makes sense without some new tech breakthrough.
10 stops of ibis is insane.
Well done, Hassie for merging leading edge approaches in key areas with the missing pieces from those previously left behind.

Can someone go shoot a concert with one of these things and report back? 😅
K came home to a 90mm pointed at her... I don't get the zoom lens till next week. We're still together. She's used to me by now.
AF is definitely improved and in my single unprofessional test I'd say it runs trngs around the X2D. AFC seems to work for the dozen shots I took. All were focused where they are supposed to be. Also had another go with the dog and things were better when I was a foot or so away from said dog. Low light AF is excellent. End to end AF travel is much better. The new body hunts a lot less often in low contrast focusing.
Really though I want the lens. It's supposed to be faster again. Then I'll pull out the Fujis and do some side by side testing.
Anecdotally, ( I didn't do before and after testing) I think the lens firmware upgrades might also have some speed benefits on the older body.
Now I have M with auto ISO I REALLY wish I could customise the dials. But you can't. That means no rear dial as EV comp.

This release seems really impressive. LIDAR, insane IBIS, etc. Adding meaningful upgrades while significantly reducing cost.
Great job by DJI in stewarding this brand, I'll admit to be concerned early on. Imagine if they'd be bought instead by some PE firm, loaded up with debt, with the brand hung out to dry...

Someone in Gothenburg or Shenzhen really got away with it!
The grip is sensational and the texture is hardly noticable in the real world.
