Any word on Pixel shift in this new camera. The X2Ds 100mp version with just 4 images works outstandingly for removing moire on the X2D and was a feature I used daily in studio when photographing clothing and detailed textures.
Does the new camera support any pixel shift, especially the teased 400mp version? I see no mention of it anywhere in the X2Dii manual.

Seen a few people say that theirs (and the store demos) all have this "soft spot", doesn't seem like loose glue like the poster thinks, but curious if you guys are seeing this too.

Seems kind of like a nothingburger, but people are sending theirs off to Sweden over it.

Perhaps they will update this lens (hardware). It's such a great and versatile focal range (16-28 in full frame equiv.).
It's a shame though, since even their widest prime, the 21mm f/4, isn't supported either.
Aa you must be aware the 25V does everything and is about a 19mm in 35 equivalent.

Yes, but it's a bit too narrow for my style, even if it's a focal length I do use at times. The zoom still feels like the best fit for me, even if it doesn't take full advantage of the new AF features. Perhaps Hasselblad will release an updated version.

Mine does not but this is less than ideal. Looks almost like an air bubble got trapped under the grip during assembly.
The new grip material is the grippiest of any X camera so far, which I like.

This is an interesting section in the FAQ on stabilization. I am not aware of any other camera using location information for fine tuning stabilization:
HOW DO I MAKE THE MOST OF 10-STOP STABILISATION?
1. Each time X2D II 100C connects to Phocus Mobile 2, it obtains current latitude/longitude position. Using location and compass information compensates for Earth's rotation effects on stabilisation. We recommend connecting to Phocus Mobile 2 before shooting to help the stabilisation system obtain latest geographic information, valid for 4 hours. When location changes significantly, obtain new position information.
Now this is one of my complaints. There’s no Android version of Phocus Mobile. I get that I know this going in but to have a function but exclude it based on which phone you own is really annoying. That and not being able to customise the control dials.

An update would not make purchasers happy, especially considering how expensive it is and how recently it was launched with much fanfare about being the best there is.
I agree the 20-35 not having AFC is odd. It may be less normal to need on wider lenses but a 28mm equivalent isn’t that wide and currently it’s the only option at 35mm. Lot’s of people will choose the zoom over primes for versatility.
I also don’t get this *e* for exclusivity. It’s more *e* for zooms, really. The 20-35 isn’t sharper than any of the primes available in it’s range. No AFC. No clutch (understandable). The Fuji is as good if not better. There’s nothing exclusive here.
Don’t get me wrong. It’s excellent. Just not what the hype would lead you to think.

Agree, many will buy zooms, but they are not my first choice. The 86mm for the 35-100 is way too big for my liking. It is nice the 4 V lenses I own all have 72mm filter size and even the 135/2.8 only has a 77mm filter size.

Whelp, this one I'm going to ask for help from the community. As of this moment, I do not have the Release Cord X, however, I do have 4 different brands of Shutter Releases that work with previous models, but for whatever reason do not work with the X2D II.
Without being too grumpy about this (for now), a major reason I purchased this new body was the potential of using it on motorized heads to do more technical imaging. I'd love to hear if others are having this experience or have solutions beyond the Release Cord X. Even willing to make my own cables, but as of now, I wouldn't be able to even guess how to wire one as nothing works.
Hasselblad Support is near me, I may go head over there and try to get some guidance.

So let me get this straight...third party corded releases that worked on other Hasselblad backs and bodies like the 907X and X1DII do not work on the X2D-II?
I did manage to find a cheap used Release Cord X before announcement and can confirm it works fine with the X2D-II, very surprised the others don't.

I am a first time Hasselblad user and I have no idea how the previous X2D handles but I much prefer the X2D II over my Fuji GFX 100 RF and 50s II/ 50R setup. Love the lenses too. I got lucky and got mine shipped out to me just 2 days after announcement and took it on a trip. I love the simplicity (vs customizations of the GFX system) especially about colors, shadows/highlights and overall operation and controls. And yikes! The system is expensive as I decided to also purchases new lenses with the X2D II. I also need to get used to a new workflow and editing HDR.
One question I do have, for those familiar, is that which Godox Xpro II trigger can I use as they do not have a dedicated one for Hasseblad? From my research, the Nikon one should work?

Apparently the 20-35E will never get a continuous autofocus update. Apparently this is because the hardware cannot handle it and because it's not necessary for a wide angle zoom.
I plan to only use this system for landscapes so this doesn't matter too much for me, but the 20-35E is pretty functional for environmental portraits, was only released around a year ago, and is purpotedly from their 'Exclusive' range so this is pretty disappointing.
Where did you get the info that 20-35E will not get the AF-C?
That aside, it's also disappointing that 20-35E doesn't have a control ring, when the newer 35-100E and the V lenses do.
I feel like they seriously need to release a 20-35E "II" to address all these issues.
p.12 #20 · Official: Hasselblad X2D II 100C Medium Format Camera announced!
Until Hassy states anything, what we have is the "20-35E currently doesn't support AF-C". They might be working on it for a firmware update. But we'll have to wait and see. It may have a different motor in there or not.
