Anyways, I picked up this discussion because of someone's knee-jerk reaction to the name miniMF. Typically the context (brand name) clarifies which MF sensor size is being used.
On my part, it was hardly a knee-jerk reaction. I've been reading the MF threads for years and I'm tired of the non-owners, purportedly senior photographers / experts lecturing us on their perception of format size and performance. If you don't own or plan to own, maybe frequent another place
So I'm sorry, feel free to block me, but I'm thinking every time I see a 'mini' reference I'll reply with a 'BS detected' note.

So, I came here (for the first time in many years) to see if I could find somewhere that people were having an intelligent discussion about a (really different) new camera.
I suppose I shouldn't be surprised that the conversation is dominated by three or so noisy, rude, know-it-alls who have zero interest in the camera but are so expert that they have to tell everyone else they are idiots. Over and over and over again. In exactly the same terms.
What was more of a surprise is that one of them does this on other forums as well.
I guess I am the idiot for reading all 43 pages..... Thanks to those who have added some constructive thoughts and images. Such a shame so much of the internet is like this.

Soon enough there will be detailed discussion of "Middle focus distance rendering" and "classic or modern boek" or other things that don't effectively matter to creating a great image.

I assume that post is addressed to me.
To clarify, I am very interested in gerting a GFX100RF as I find it currently the most interesting GFX camera. Lack of stabilization and slow lens be damned 😄.
I engage with opposing opinions because only that way I can learn something. I am allergic to BS and fake information, though. Sorry about that.

On a more serious note, did any of you who preordered this get an email from B&H? I did overnight, telling me that it is “back-ordered.”
Like we don’t know it…duh.
I placed the order in the early afternoon of the day of the announcement, which may mean that the line ahead of me is rather long—perhaps months long. Who knows…
I am 70 and will retire at the end of this year or in the Spring of 2026. I must admit that as a hobbyist, I am unwilling to drag behind me and protect with what? 7x 24 when traveling a Roller of equipment, so I decided to sell all that is NIB or LN+ like Z9, Z 70-200, Z 14-24, Z Noct 58, and Z TC-2x and get just ONE camera with ONE “glued” lens like this GFXR100RF.
But as Fuji may not be in my “cards” if the line is lengthy, then I may go the other way, to either Q3 leaning 43, or more dangerous for my wallet anticipated Leica 11-evf, or whatever is going to be called and then desperately try to stay with juts one lens, something like Cron 35 f/2 APO

Yep, one member here has over 40 posts in this thread basically telling everyone why this camera is not for them. Too boot, this member has stated he has zero interest in this camera. Over 40 posts on something he has zero interest in…hmmm

The photos of Prague captured by GFX 100RF in the presentation and Prague Fujikina seem to me rushed, sometimes unfinished. It was obvious that time was very short for some photographers or influencers. Some of them were in Prague for the first time and it's obvious that they were pressing the shutter rather than taking serious photos. Honor the exceptions!

Personally I never tire of Prague photos…such an amazing city. I could spend months there walking and photographing the streets and people.
+1
I traveled to Prague last year, ans enjoyed it a lot. Great for walking and discovering, though, because of crowds, I had to go out a 6 am for some more popular spots.

Fuji has done a pretty bad job here...watching a Lee Zavitz video, he had 45 minutes of hands on shooting time outside, on a rainy day to boot. Of course the samples he came away with were totally middling. They should have had this camera in the hands of all the people they invited to Prague WEEKS before the event, and they could have used their experience beforehand to get really great shots while in Prague.

The good news is a rapidly growing percentage of forum members have had their fill and are starting to publicly flog him for his repetitively trollish behavior.

I’d be cautious in your case. It may be hard going from Z9 to anything that’s a lot slower. It’s what I struggle with. I find myself grabbing a fast camera with fewer megapixels the moment I want flexibility.

Your points stipulated, but in my case and "for Ripley," I have not been missing Z9 speed since I bought it. It is sitting NIB, original F/W, “0” on the shutter, of course, since I never laid my hands on it…I know it is crazy.
My Zf + Z 26 f/2.8 sees some action here and there, and it has been like this for years. Only the Phone, currently like 16 Pro+, with some kind of Camera, is always with me.
Hardest part, at least for me, is to admit that my decades long GAS I have been suffering from was just about things I want, I did not need them, it is a hobby not making living with it, and some of the best shots I ever taken were half-century ago with Flexaret on 120 B/W Rolls and then on Film Bodies of, Nikon, Asahi Pentax, Minoltas, Canons, I am not claiming any expertise, perhaps we could agree on, that the cameras are just the tools.

You are right, Scott. I really appreciate you commenting on technical facts; I should not have included that misinformation in my post. Not laying my hands on Z9 is perhaps the part that I wanted to underline, which speaks more about my needs and wants, or GAS

I know, Scott; no worries. I have no hard feelings here, but fact matters in any field. I am always annoyed when folks in Buy & Sell ask about Shutter Count on Z9, Z8, and the like, and then I do the same thing.
If it is not a secret, what is your YouTube channel? You mentioned above that you just got monetized.
