Right before the bird takes off, and during turn up the volume, you can hear clicking
Still can't hear anything but the flutter of the wings. But I will try at home with my headphones on to see if I'm really missing it. Could only go so loud at the office with my MacBook speakers as I didn't want to scare off all the patients.

Neither can I. Is it right as the bird is taking off, it sounds faster that the wings are flapping in the video? Takes quite a leap of faith to assign that to a shutter sound... But then I have never heard the fake shutter sound of the Z8/Z9
As I said, the target audience for this product is aging men, which alas includes me
It's funny how PetaPixel gives you insights when the camera was most likely shown. This quote
"While the camera was never being shared with any media or influencers this past January on a Spanish island, guessing that the camera would come eventually was likely to be true at some point."

If that is you in your avatar, you do not look old.

Aye yes I heard it, this does prove that atleast the FPS will be quite high.
That said, I don't mean to be pedantic, but a high FPS doens't necessarily mean a fast sensor.
For example, I've got an S5IIX and it has a 30FPS burst mode in E-shutter, but it only really works for natural lighting scenarios where the subject isn't moving very fast because the sensor is still fairly slow (around a 1/20s readout speed), so it comes with the downsides of a slower sensor (like the warping).
That said given the rumoured specs it does point to the Z6III sensor being at the least, a fast non-stacked sensor, and potentially even stacked. ...Show more →
Wondering how you get 30FPS with a 1/20s read speed?
I think they must be dropping the bit depth for the 30FPS. Devil’s in the detail.

It's actually before the kingfisher took off. There are two very distinct sounds. The shutter going off at a higher frequency and the bird flapping at a much slower frequency. The shutter sound started before the bird took off.
Looking at videos of 1Dxii's 16fps and 14fps from the D5, the Z6iii doesn't sound nearly as fast as 16fps. But could be still be close enough. Sounds a bit faster than 14 but not quite 16.

I have not changed that avatar since the day I joined FM in 2006. You do the math . At this point my avatar is like the business card of some female real estate agents. The FTC can sue me for unfair advertising, but I am too lazy to change it.
There was a brief comment on this in the DPreview forum by Thom Hogan.
I would interpret that to mean that a Z7 III is definitely in the pipeline, so if Mr. Hogan is already under NDA on that, it shouldn't be too far off.
There he agrees with the comment, “don't think it's the end of the line for the Z7 just yet.” of a user with the following statement:

...fair enough. I haven't changed my LinkedIn profile pic in years either. I am not sure that there have been any pictures taken of me that wasn't at a party in the ensuing period of time, and I don't think culls from party group shots are LinkedIn material.

Ready to Perform? Is amazing copy
I still think the original ad "Travel of Light" is one of the best..ever. Had to go watch it again after this. I'm a fan of camera commercials (Probably something wrong with me... This one is still one of my favorites.
It’s usually at least a few weeks , I had my hands on most of the Fuji stuff weeks before release , even before Fuji rumors could report stuff. It’s out there , guess it depends on your relationship with the manufacturer.

Yep, and depends on their followers. YouTube reviewers like DPreview with 400k subscribers or others with even more would play a role too.
