Ready to Perform? Is amazing copy
Are they selling cameras or are they pushing ED medication? The latter could be appropriate - buy one get the other one free, given that the target audience is aging men (myself included )
Looks to me like the Z 24-120/4 S, which is also mounted there in another picture.
In any case, I wouldn't read too much into it.
Even if the lens was only pixelated in this picture.

I kind of agree on the leak, but I think the 24mp sensor on a 3rd generation product is underwhelming.
Hmm, I'd say a fast 24MP sensor would be impressive imho, as I think the gain in speed > the gain in resolution to 33MP. Plus if Nikon were to use the 33MP Sony sensor, it is quite slow, in fact all of the Sony ones are apart from their stacked sensors.
I'd like it if Nikon and Panasonic started moving away from using non-stacked Sony sensors for that reason.
If it's stacked and around $/£3000 then it's an automatic pre-order, lol.

Yeah I figured after seeing that second photo. No mention of that long awaited 35mm 1.2

Not really, if you look at Sony and what they do with the A7S, it's perfectly fine. Its a low light monster. If you want more resolution, you can get 24mp from an A7III, or 33mp for A7IV, or 60mp with A7RV. So if Nikon keeps it 24mp it makes sense. They have 45mp for Z7. I don't think majority of Z6 shooters wanted more resolution. 24mp is plenty, the thing that was lacking was video which from the rumors it now should do very well.

Yes good point, I completely forgot about the A7SIII and made a mistake in my original post as that is the exception; that 12 MP sensor is fast for a non-stacked sensor.
But aside from the sensor in the A7SIII and perhaps the A7S line, all of the non-stacked FF Sony sensors (that are in cameras) are relatively slow, even the one in the A7III (albeit it's not that bad, just not fast like something in the R6II).
I do agree that 24MP is plenty enough and yes, the rumored video specs look really impressive, in fact if they are accurate they do point to this being quite a fast sensor.
So, if the rumoured specs are correct the question is, will it be stacked? If it's stacked that's incredible.
If it's non-stacked but still fast that is still incredible, and I'd wonder who makes the sensor, it would be quite funny if it's not Sony.

If they put basically a 16fps mech shutter in this camera in a way it would be the mirrorless D5 I've always wanted. ArizonaImage wrote:
Listen to that burst rate at 0:06

Aye yes I heard it, this does prove that atleast the FPS will be quite high.
That said, I don't mean to be pedantic, but a high FPS doens't necessarily mean a fast sensor.
For example, I've got an S5IIX and it has a 30FPS burst mode in E-shutter, but it only really works for natural lighting scenarios where the subject isn't moving very fast because the sensor is still fairly slow (around a 1/20s readout speed), so it comes with the downsides of a slower sensor (like the warping).
That said given the rumoured specs it does point to the Z6III sensor being at the least, a fast non-stacked sensor, and potentially even stacked.
Yeah you're right, but seeing how faster sensors are a main talking point nowadays I don't think Nikon would ignore that. For example the R6 II sensor readout is significantly better than the R6. Since Nikon made a big deal with the Z9 readout speed, I'm hoping they considered the Z6 III as well

There is no rumor that has the Z6iii being stacked. The current rumor spec is 14mech/20elec shutter.
That's right, which is why I worded it the way I did.
I only say "potentially", due to its rumoured "4k60 full ProRes RAW" and "6k size 6048 x 4032 full-frame 12-bit NRAW".
But I completely appreciate that it's more (or most) likely that it's just a fast reading non-stacked 24.5MP sensor if the rumours are indeed correct, and that 4k60 full, means 4k60 full frame without pixel binning. That would still be an impressive feat for sure.
It also means that, potentially, magnification would not have the lag that it has on other Z cameras because it would be a direct feed.
