My a1 has firmware 1.31. Apparently 1.35 is to be installed prior to 2.01. Yet I don't see 1.35 on the Sony A1 download page. Anyone know where I can find it?

It's part of the 2.01 update. There will be two files in the download when it's complete.

Can someone who has an a1 (2.01) that does not hum please send me a CAMSET file just so I can check if the humming is due to some weird menu settings.

Why don't you simply reset your settings? I don't really expect that will make a difference though. When I touch the camera with my ear, I can hear the IBIS humming (doesn't matter whether it is enabled). Otherwise I can't hear the camera at all.

I hear the same. It's a really faint sound (so I need to touch the camera with my ear too) though, that's why I suggested that some people can simply not hear it.

Both my A1 and a7r5 both make a slight whirring sound if held up to the ear when on. The sound is more pronounced on the A7r5 and it will be the very slight noise that IBIS makes when the camera is on

Yes. A very slightly audible sound = Normal state. Some will hear it if directed to do so, many will never bother to listen for it, some probably can't hear it as you mentioned for various reasons.

To be honest if they want to add a few more features via FW update that requires purchase of a license, or comes included on the mark 2, I'd be fine with that (e.g. RAW precapture), and that would make a lot of sense IMO

Has anyone installed the new Custom Grids package on their A1? Looks like the SD card is used to install this package on the camera too. *This video also answers my previous question if we can use a CFExpress Type A card to install firmware on the camera as I've only seen mention of using SD cards for the firmware updates.

I could not load the CAMSET file from a V1 camera. I'm guessing the internal structure of the files are different, this may explain why everyone's menu's got reset with the V2 upgrade.

I'll say and I know it's been this way since 2.0.. but i actually like the new app. It's syncs quickly and it doesn't have the quirky issues with my camera trying to remote control it or download pictures. It just "works" so far. The menus and stuff are also nice adds and I feel like i can get through them a bit faster. I just hope they'll give us more updates. Especially because it seems the AII isn't coming this year.
