Is there anywhere to look at the menu structure with the FW update?
Bill - I found the new menu pretty close enough to the 1.32 version so that re"programming" was pretty straightforward.
There are small differences here and there but the label names are the same or close. I had recorded LCD images of all the customisation I'd done prior to updating. I assume you did he same.
It does helps to download the latest Help Guide as mentioned above by LBJ2.

This video also will give you an idea of the new menu system
1 • My Menu
2 • Main
3 • Shooting
4• Exposure/Color
5 • Focus
6 •Playback
7 • Network
8 • Setup
Several of the items have 2 pages of settings.
Each individual setting can have several options to chose from.
So a long list of options pointed to by LBJ2.
This screen certainly gave me a general orientation overview.

David, thanks for the video. I'll take a look at it today.I have not recorded my settings but will. The A1 and A9 (my original) settings mirror each other where possible so that helps as well.

Good job with the Main photo! Thanks for that. I really like and now use the Main menu often and happy Sony decided to port to the 2021 A1. At first I was hoping I could customize a few fields in the Main display, but then I quickly realized many of the default fields are in fact what I use most often for an operitonal Quick Look/check:
The other feature I use very often in v2.1 is the touch function icon display. Another efficient Quick-Look display I found super easy to integrate into my daily camera handling while in the zone-ha ha
Just like not reading the manual, I think many of us don't t click on this Sony Help Guide ( me included) Also perhaps some did not notice this updated guide in the v2.01 firmware notes. I didn't until @j4nu posted. I bookmarked the guide for quick reference too.
The specific url I posted "the list of menu items" as you saw, is the complete A1 v2 menu structure ( I haven't found any mistakes yet), but also still going through it.
Once I discovered this url, it is very easy to click and go through all menu items while also going through each menu item on the camera. But also if someone is already familiar with the A1 menu, even easier as there are not that many differences.
There are helpful A1 Ebooks guides for a fee and free A1 settings websites out there with pictures of all or many of the menus, but I think it's going to be some time before they are edited for v2.01.

What would really make this menu more useful would be the ability to scroll through settings with the front or rear wheel. As it is, turning either navigates through the menu system. Would be super helpful for us underwater videographers, especially since the exposure info display at the bottom of the screen is now so small.
The scenario, in which you're sending a clean HDMI feed to an external monitor, means that you use the camera's LCD to see and adjust all settings. This new “Main” display is nice and large and easy to see underwater at a glance, but when you go to adjust a setting, you're still stuck squinting at tiny little numbers for shutter speed, aperture, iso, wb, etc. And on top of being really small, the numbers turn red, which makes them even harder to read.

Well looks like Sony has released the A7SIII firmware 3.01 which supposedly fixes network connectivity issues and the incorrect ISO reading while recording video on that camera. Let's see how that turns out...

I have another problem in combination with CamRanger 2. I just recently bought an A1 and directly updated to 2.01. I use a CamRanger 2 for real estate photography. The CamRanger 2 does not trigger the capture. I press the capture button in the app but nothing happens. Everthing else works fine.
My A7Rv that I sold worked fine and my other Sony cameras (A7iv and A7Cii) work fine too.
CamRanger support could not help, because Sony does not provide any error logs. And they say no other A1 users reported issues. But maybe most are still an firmware 1.32?
Is here someone on 2.01 and uses an CamRanger 2?
Any issues?
I compared my relevant menu settings to my other cameras, seems similar.
The only difference I can see is the display symbol when I connect the CamRanger 2 to my A1. My other cameras show a "-PC-" on the display wether the A1 shows some kind of square icon with something like a PC screen inside.
On the other hand when I connect the A1 to my MacBook via USB-C I can capture from Sony Imaging Edge Desktop I can remote capture without any issues and the same icon appears on the display....Show more →
So, I don't have the A1, I have the A9iii...and the Camranger 2. Took them out recently and it worked. Tried to use the next day and no go. What did I change? Nothing. Have been through the menus over and over...can not get it to work again. My A9 first edition works fine with the Camranger 2. Now, it it hadn't worked from day 1, okay. But it's messing with my mind that it worked at first, but now it won't. Did you ever get your A1 to work with Camranger 2?

That's not a Sony problem, that's a Cam Ranger problem. In fact, they don't list the A9III as a supported camera.

Both my a1 and a7r5 work with the camranger 2. If you want, you can send me your a9III and I can test it for a few weeks or maybe through football season to see if I can get it to work again. ;-)
Yeah. I did notice that. Maybe I should contact them and ask if they have any ideas. If it didn't work from the getgo, I wouldn't be surprised. That it worked once is confusing.

I came across several posts about this problem as I didn't realize is was still a problem until I recently upgraded FW..
I updated the firmware on both of my a1's last week. Had not seen this thread and all the information I'd seen was that some people had some problems with v2 but the 2.01 and/or 2.02 fixed the problems (that's what the Sony alpha website says).
My serial number 337 is fine and is running 2.01. My 338 one, I tried 2.00, 2.01, and 2.02 and the bluetooth will not pair with my phone as I'm getting that same error message you posted about. WiFi is fine to FTP but not BT. Spoke with a very nice and knowledgeable Sony rep at Pro services and we tried to get this working, even did a hard reset on the camera (obviously didn't change the firmware back) and still no result. He told me the line about how the "techs" (which are most certainly PR lackeys in damage control) - said the bluetooth was already not working and that it just didn't show that error screen and that I would need to send it it. I explained how I use that feature every day and that it worked 30 minutes prior to the FW upgrade and he just said "that's what we have been told."
Anyway, I wanted to see anyone ever got a resolution because there are several posts shoiwing the response from Sony were complete garbage. Unacceptable in every way, especially the one about how "you have no way of proving this worked." Any thoughts or comments would be greatly appreciated.
I read the entire thread but I'm new to this problem so apologies as I'm sure this has been covered somewhere!

If you have Pro support I would speak to them. I was very worried about this issue and I spoke to them in the UK about it and in the end the agreed to pay for the camera to be fixed if this happened. All the same I decided to not update my camera as I don't feel the upgrade offers me any real advantages and the chances of any further meaningful ones are slim. It really is outrageous that Sony refuse to fix this for free as it is known issue. I would continue to pressure Pro support
