I picked up the '04 burton zoom that someone else had posted on this thread - so far so good. I don't have much equipment right now, so it's a perfect size to hold everything. The last bag I had was the old canon 100eg which didn't have enough space for everything.

my only issue with the bag is that it's hard to access the camera well with the bag open - unlike other backpacks this one opens from the rear, so the "lid" is not the full size of the compartment, but a little bit smaller. Hopefully you'll see what I mean by the picture.

In the near future I'll be trading out both kit lenses for a 70-200 f/4L and a 17-40L to compliment my 50 1.4.

Does anyone have a pic of the Crumpler Puppet? Their website has external shots only. Deciding between this, Lowepro Mini Trekker or Canon 200 EG. Also, if anyone has one of these bags, can you show me how a tripod is attached? Thanks

This thread has lived way longer than I ever imagined. All of the posts have been just great, thanks to everyone that posted a picture of their bag. I've learned at least five good tricks for stuffing stuff in my bag and I now feel like an expert on the Lowepro product line...

The "Check ISO" is a fantastic idea. How did you get the text on there? Did you print it out and put in on with a clear screen protector?
My 350D is even worse than the 20D, it doesn't even show the ISO on the display.
Too many times I have wondered how I am getting such fast shutter speeds... then I check ISO, and yep, it is at 800 or 1600.

damn engineers...

This is a recently aquired Tamrac 5575 that replaced the Canon 200 backpack. I also have the Tamrac Velocity 9 for when I can't put the bag down to change gear. I added more equipment that I thought, so I may sell this for the larger 5577 just because I can only carry one body this way, unless I put the flash in an accessory pocket or a MAS attachment

First is my Tamrac Expedition 5. This is a really tough and comfortable backpack which will take most of my kit and a laptop for long jouneys. Very happy with this bag althoug the new version has better tripod straps and a paddded laptop pocket.

Tim
Looking at the new Tamrac Expedition 5, it does not mention any storage for a notebook and it also does not come up in there computer compatible search. I am looking at the 5575 and 5275 model. Am I looking at the wrong product?

Also does it come with any weather cover?

It doesn't have a labtop bag, but it does have a weather seal. Its pretty rugged, but the outer pocket isn't very big and not padded

Here's my bag. Some Promaster model. Cheap but very roomy.

20D on the left
17-40L
50 f/1.4
Elan 7NE, soon to be EOS 3
580EX
35mm 100 T-Max B&W film

My girlfriend has my 10D and 28-135 but that usually resided next to the 17-40. When receive my 85 f/1.8, that'll have to bunk with the 50mm lens.

On top there is my remote timer and switch TC-80N3

On the bottom I have a red, yellow, and polarizing filter in 77mm thread. 58mm warming ciruclar polarizer. Cleaning fluid and a lint-free micorfiber wipe cloth.

Isn't it funny how saturated the colors are from the point and shoots? This one is the Canon PowerShot S400

I too was impressed with the "Check ISO" attachment. More than once I've been shooting late/low light and in the morning grabbed my camera for some quick shots, only to notice that the metering is running "fast".

Cheers.

Yeah, me too. I don't blame him though. Found myself shooting ISO1600 one day at f/22 and 1/250 sec. Hmmm..lots of light out here or is it just me?

The body cap compartment was going to be the home of the Canon 85mm f/1.8 I was planning on getting. But when I saw Lara was selling her Sigma 180mm macro, I figured I could get the 85mm later. (Thanks, Lara)

I've been testdriving a ThinkTank Photo "Airport Addicted" backpack. TTP is a new company started by the former lead designer for Lowepro, Doug Murdoch. Thisis a big bag that is well thought out. It will hold both a 400/2.8 and a 300/2.8 and numerous bodies and lens. Not to mention a laptop and supplies. Here is what I've been carrying in it.

Was wondering if anyone would notice that...
Made with a Brother P-Touch labeler.
It's saved me a couple of time.

I just purchased a Kata R-102. This is an amazing backpack. I have been able to fit all the lenses and 20D + battery grip in my signature in it (not that I will ever carry all of them at once). There is plenty of room to spare for accessories in the pockets. The R-102 is extremely well made and offers excellent padding for protection of the equipment.

It's a cheap Kodak large shoulder bag. Cost me about $AU60 when I was back in Oz. It's currently going for about $US15 at this place:

Not a bad bag actually though can be a bit hard on the shoulders and back.
