Small water CA series (like that 6367 image) - f1.4, f2, f2.8 and f4 and some portraits at f1.4.
I really like this lens, it's great to use and it's quite easy to shoot with for extended periods of time.

Between the 50mm f1.4 and 50mm f1.2, which one do you prefer? Factoring weight vs rendering and any other factors that's relevant?
For US buyers, the 1.4 saves $700, is notably smaller, and uses the same filter diameter as the 24 and 35 GM so no step up/down rings required. I didn't own the 1.2 so this was an easy purchase. The 1.4 is 33% lighter, 12% shorter, and 8% narrower in diameter. It's incredibly sharp as well. For me, giving up the 1/2 stop difference is worth it for these other factors. The 1.2 is a spectacular lens but this 1.4 seems to be a superb all-rounder. Mine arrives Monday! Also, another way to think about this: the $700 savings gets you close to the cost of a used 24mm f1.4 GM, which would make a stellar pairing with this 50mm. I currently have a 35/85mm pair, and eventually will get the 24mm GM, so then I'd have 24-35-50-85 all at f1.4, which is a wonderful (to me) lineup. I'd probably only go out with one pair at a time (24/50 or 35/85) but the different combos are really nice. I may add a 70-200mm f2.8 II at some point but I like having a lighter/smaller kit, so the fast primes are perfect for that.
Do you have any impressions or thoughts on how these images might look different if shot with the 1.2 but using the same apertures?
Supposing the same exactly PP of mine would have been applied:
1.GM 50/1.2 shots wide open would look slightly more painterly
2.GM 50/1.2 shots stopped down would look a tad less "3D"
If I did not already own an excellent copy of 1.2 GM I would be so tempted to buy this.
I prefer the weight of 1.2, heavier dense lenses and bodies with battery grips help me immensely shooting handheld stability wise. I find the girth of 1.2 perfect for my large hands.
My impression of the lens after looking at images here and elsewhere is that it is a fairly neutral lens that is nicely corrected and gives a straightforward rendering. It doesn't seem to add anything special to its images, unlike the Voigtlander 40/1.2 & 50/1.2, the Canon EF 50/1.2L, the Sigma 45/2.8, or the Sony 50/1.2. But it does give a very sharp, clean take on what it is pointed at.

Sure and personally what I want is a fairly 'neutral' lens a bit like having a neutral RAW file giving you the best for post processing. Personally I feel getting something 'special' in an image is much more down to technique, seeing, photographic skill and post processing. Of course some lenses render in a particular way and I used to enjoy my CV 35/1.2 mkii especially in this respect.
They must be low res versions. I cant see a sharp one.

I've added more images - all with full size previews and without lens correction, but it's still best to download the photos and edit them to your own taste.
Photos of the fountain (7236-7242) are at apertures f1.4 to f4
The photos of the tree (7573 and 7576) have apertures of f1.4 and f2
Landscape (7710 and 7711) have apertures of f1.4 and f9
From a short use of about a month I can say that it will be a great replacement for the 50mm ZA.
It is very nice to carry around, sharp, quiet and fast, but i think I'll only get a real upgrade in focusing reliability with a more modern body than the Sony A7RIII (it's the same as with the 50mm ZA).
It could perform better at minimum focusing distance and f1.4-f2 apertures - it's better from about 70cm.
CA doesn't bother me, it will show up in extreme situations, but mostly in insignificant amounts. It can be worst in interior shots against a window at longer distance and f1.4 aperture, but there I expect it automatically.
Overall, I really like this lens and so far I don't regret going the f1.4 aperture route over the larger and heavier f1.2 GM, even though there is virtually zero price difference between the two in the EU.

Some pictures taken today during morning stroll. The lens is insanely sharp. Both wide open and stopped down. The sharpest 50/1.4 I've ever used.It also has high microcontrast, very good colour rendition and good bokeh, but not as good as GM 50/1.2.
In short: another optically superb lens with no character.
