You’ll love the 50 GM! I have never used the 35 GM but from the samples I’ve seen it’s an amazing lens!
I have the 20G which I barely use and the 35-150 that I used often along with the 50 GM.
I guess your 24-70 is a bit repetitive with your primes unless you need the zoom range for some quick shooting?

I just ordered this lens, so anxious to give it a try. I kept putting off getting a 50 as I already have the 35 GM, but seems like they will compliment each other along with the 20G for wider scenes. I have the 70-200 for anything longer.
No that I have this ranged covered with primes, I'm thinking of selling my 24-70 GM II.

Well, I sold the 24-70 to make room for some primes and picked up the 50mm f/1.2 GM. I really like the form factor of the f/1.4, but I just found out we have a grand baby on the way, so I decided to splurge and be ready for those baby portraits. I will probably keep my 35 GM and use it in crop mode when I need a lighter weight lens.
Congratulations on the 50 1.2 and specially the grand baby!

Perusing this thread for some additional info on this lens - not much to be had here. Had to drop a note and say I love this simple portrait. Your wife popped off a wonderful capture here.
