I hope this lens will be available soon.
I have had it since last week. 50mm/1.4 GM is very sharp with low aberrations. Bokeh seems smooth and af is as good as it gets. However, I am not sure how I will eventually like it. 24 and 35 GM has somehow "lighter" rendering - I must shoot more with the 50mm to really know what I think.
An obvious negative point is that despite being smaller than f/1.2, 50mm/1.4 GM it is large and heavy for a 50mm lens. It is hefty compared to 24 and 35 GM. I was kind of surprised when I got the lens. 50mm/1.4 GM is small only in comparison to the f/1.2 version.
I enjoy many of your pictures, but it would help in evaluating the lens if you included the exif data of shutter, aperture, and ISO.
They are all on flickr so if you click on the link you'll see the data there. nearly all of the images are at f1.4 You can also see the image at a higher resolution on flickr

It seems to be close to those in weight and size:
50/1.4 GM = 516 g ... 80.6 x 96 mm
35/1.4 GM = 524 g ... 76 x 96 mm
24/1.4 GM = 445 g ... 75.4 x 92.4 mm

Well it's certainly larger than the FE55 which I had since it was released but I still find it manageable and a fantastic lens

Yes, I know. But it would be nice to see the key data of a picture that one is interested in understanding without having to go to another site. It is just a matter of checking a box on the upload to display the data under the image.

That's only true if you're uploading and have subscribed to upload and sell, I believe. When linking from another site, you'd likely have to enter that information manually.
Yes, really suprising. Maybe 50mm/1.4 is more nose heavy than 35 GM. It is also very easy to feel the larger diameter.
FE 55/1.8 is in another class. Not GM optics, but the small size is sometimes important.

Right I'm not a paid up subscriber so flickr it is for all the data
Thanks for sharing the RAW files.
DSD06367 shows quite a lot of CA that is not cleaned automatically by the lens profile in LR 12.3. However "defringe" in the manual lens correction tab seems to work well .
