Some badgers from last week. All captures were taken at f/2.8, 1/60 sec and ISOs between 6.400 and 20.000. The scrap due to motion blur was enormously high.

์Night strolls through rainforest, plenty of opportunity to use macro lenses but there are things that I would not get close and 400/2.8S still seemed ideal. May be when Nikon releases 200/4, it might be more flexible All shot at f2.8, no flash, only LED flashlight.

Thank you.

Thanks Robert. 400/2.8S really grows on me. I was using 600/4e FL and 500/4e FL in the past and always thought that 400 was too short. If Nikon released 600/4S TC at the same time with 400/.28S TC, I would have grabbed 600/4S TC definitively but since 400/2.8S TC came out first and I decided not to wait. It turned out to be a great option. The F2.8 really gives more flexibility in the forest and night time. I am surprised at how often I use 400mm focal length without needing the internal TC.
As far as my knowledge, I tried to learn the names of subject that I shoot but I have to give credit to my guide.
We saw maroon leaf monkeys which my guide was very excited but it was right after sunrise and with my sleepy eyes, I could
only see some red blobs in the tree. No idea what I was taking photos of and only found out later that day how rare a sighting that was

Beautiful images Suteetat love the night shots!
Thanks George. This is my first experience doing rainforest walk at night and I did not realize how much there was to see.

few from this week. First image of the black headed Ibis is shot with TC 2.0 at 800mm and the last 2 images were shot with the internal 1.4TC + 2.0X TC at 1120mm
