Elephant ears?? That's a new one for me Heron!
Like the star burst on the sign!
Just a brutal summer here so far! I could not walk the midway in this heat. Even at night!

Great capture!!!
Dan
Thanks Dan!
Elephant ears are big flat pieces of fried dough covered with sugar and cinnamon. Summer has been pretty cool out here in Oregon for the most part this year. Starting to get some wildfires though

Yes when I lived in Murphy?Grants pass, I had numerous wildfires approach my home almost every year.
It has been a hot and very humid here in Maryland. Somewhat dry in my area as thunderstorms approach the mountains, they split and headt SE to the DC area or East to Baltimore leaving us dry and burnt up!

Dan, I don't think so judging from his friends. Yakuza have body tattoos, often full body tattoos, and don't show their tattoos off in public. For one thing, they might show gang affiliation and arouse the police or other gangs. Many Japanese, from the young even, simulate the Yakuza in their dress, hair style, etc.
Tattooed folks are often barred from public baths, Yakuza or not. Most casual gaijins like tourists never see them but if you have lived there you understand who is who. There is one festival in Tokyo, the Sanja Matsui, where Yakuza bare their full body tattoos and even party in public before the event. I will have to show some images from it.

Muy excellente. Beside being great compositions and spot-on exposures, your work is so insightful and poignant. Over how many years are these from, if I may ask, sir?
