^^^...
Yes, all that is true. But what is wrong with a thread full of really good street photos (excluding my rural entry) someone can simply scroll through for their enjoyment vs returning to the forum and starting over. I like it and I don't think it detracts from the rest. Just my opinion, not looking for an argument or confrontation . Enjoy your weekend doing whatever makes you happy!
Guess I should post a street view. Had to leave rural Texas to get a real street view...how about Santorini?

I haven't seen any complaints or discussion that anyone finds it "tedious" to find "Street" threads in the City, Street and Architecture section. That would be an interesting thing to bring up with the site administrators. Why don't you do that . . .
Maybe then there would be a separate Street section . . . (or maybe not) . . .
Instead of suddenly encouraging others to post under your initial thread - which is an arbitrary change of the forum by you and which causes no end in difficulty finding those subsequent threads, responding to them, understanding statistics from them. All those other posts show up as data related to you, not to those who posted.
Your initial post is a very good collection of street images. It's not unusual for people responding to a thread to post an image or two of their own as part of the subsequent discussion of the first post. But to then have a whole new string of new additional posts in a sub thread in a major section of a forum is far more confusing and disorienting than the "problem" you have decided exists.
There is a very simple solution if you are confused or don't like a thread. Just don't go into it. Lotsa room to move around, Lotsa other treads in this forum.

The traffic light in the background makes this picture eligible for the "street thread." "D" "D" That is if you can pull your eyes away from her Very likely, to me, the most beautiful woman I saw in three successive years to Paris. The picture here is how I saw her. Enjoy.

This is quite confusing.
This entire forum is for street photography.
Why are you encouraging others to post their photography in your individual thread within the forum intended for just that activity?

These kind of long running themed threads full of lots of people's images are a regular feature of this site, though they seem to be more popular on the gear boards for some reason. IMO, they are one of the best things about FM

Yeah, and I get it for a gear thread or for a specific image kind of thread, like ""Girls with freckles" or "Images of soft pretzel vendors," etc. But not for a general category for which there already is a specific Section.
