Bring on the Warblers.
You will learn discipline as you use the camera.
Does the Z9 offer the ability to group images by burst?

I don't think so. Only the ability to choose if the playback shows you the first or last image of a burst if you go for image review right after the burst.

Please how is the real life experience using the Z9 EVF ?
I found that it was very good. I didn't really notice the lower resolution compared to other EVFs I own(ed).
I actually didn't really think about it while shooting so that usually is a good thing.
I'm planning to do a little more back and back between my other camera this weekend.
I didn't actually shoot much high speed BIF so I'm not sure if the lower refresh makes much difference. I usually only notice higher refresh v lower refresh on things like a hummingbird darting to the next flower and not seeing which direction it went when set to lower refresh.
I don't see anything magical about the claimed "dual-stream" tech but maybe the magic is that it is making up for the lower refresh and lower resolution.

No, but you can create a new folder of where the new set of photos will be stored in. Kinda of a pain and probably 99% of user don't even know it exists.
It's helpful when you have a model shoot with different models. But then again, I can just look at the thumbnails and see who or what I've taken photos of.

I need a day where it's not 22 degrees so I can even try to find some gulls to practice on. Kasper6188 wrote:
Hah, that's about all I saw for the first 5 days with my z9. I don't think I've ever taken so many gull images

I think the magic in the "dual stream" viewfinder design is that shooting with the Z9 feels like shooting with a rangefinder or pellicle mirror SLR... there's no mirror or shutter blackout, there's no real lag, and the camera is as quiet (or loud) as you want.
I haven't had a truly blackout-free camera since my old Oly E-10. It's just a pleasant shooting experience, especially when shooting high frame rates and/or panning.
It's a whole lot of expensive technology whose virtue is that it becomes unnoticeable. At least until you pick up one of your other cameras!
As far as viewfinder resolution goes, I don't care so much now that we have focus peaking. A high resolution rear LCD is helpful for reviewing images. A high resolution EVF has limited appeal to me. I'll take it, but I wouldn't pay for a higher resolution LCD than the Z9 has.

A good EVF does not need to stick out like a sore thumb though. If you can continue to shoot whatever that you want without having to think about the EVF or wish that it does something more then it does its job. Nobody is thinking much about OVF except whether it is big enough or too small and probably the annoyign mirror flap. So far I really have no complain but I guess beside A7r IV which I can bump refresh rate up to 100 Hz with reduced resolution, I dont have a lot of experience with any other higher refresh rate EVF so I don't really know what I might miss, I suppose. But A7r IV EVF is certainly not better by any visual description so far.
Today I was shooting a bit but condition was not so great and in bright sunlight, backscreen LCD was useless most of the time but the EVF was perfectly fine.
