First week with the Z9 shooting indoor sports and am very impressed especially how the adapted lenses perform...especially the 200 f/2 and 200-400 f/4.
Now...I am waiting for some brighter indoor events and outdoor sports in a couple of months.

Nerdy curiosity: is the top panel OLED or e-ink or something that uses very little power? I'm sure we've all noticed it stays on 24/7. It leads me to wonder how much power that draws?
I'm not exactly going to let the camera sit idle for 3 months to estimate battery draw, of course.

I'm still waiting for mine, so I keep my eyes what you guys bring in with it.
I can still change my mind, but it looks like, my pocket will empty out...

Here's a couple from the shore today instead of the pond. It was very windy and cold. I was hoping to get some ducks flying but they were all huddled together in the sun trying to stay warm. I've never really done any BIF photography before, but I'm learning and starting to enjoy this. Of course, the Z9 helps make this type of photography enjoyable rather than frustrating!

I've been hanging out at some of the last open water in my area to test out various settings on my Z9. I very briefly tested out the 120fps mode this past weekend.
I found that with 120fps, I get about 25 frames for one full "flap" of a goose. It's a shame it isn't at full resolution, because it sure is nice to be able to choose exact wing positioning and "mid-honk".
This particular sequence of 56 photos didn't produce a real keeper, but one frame was an interesting moment that presented an optical illusion...
I present--for your amusement--the X-Wing Fighter Goose!

This Z9 is causing me so much grief. I can't take my finger off the shutter release and then I have a shed load of images to go through to figure out which ones I like, which slightly different pose is slightly better than the previous 50 shots. It's awesome.
