I finally got a chance to put this lens on again, after several weeks of gloomy weather spent mostly indoors (which meant fast primes for me). It was nice to shoot ISO100 for a day at least, even if only for random unprocessed SooC snapshots .

Today was the one year gotcha day anniversary of the pup, so these two brothers met up for some play time. This is such a versatile lens for dog park fun.

This lens in quite intriguing and I'm glad Tamron brought it to market. It should spur other companies to try new focal length combinations with faster f-stops. I personally feel the price for the Tamron is more than fair considering the market.

I've had this lens since it was released and have to say that I'm very impressed with its performance. It's been through a few weddings and one family trip now. When reviewing images after the fact I'm often surprised because I'll assume that a particular shot was with a prime based on the image quality but when looking at the exif it turns out it was with the Tamron zoom. Needless to say, this lens is here to stay for both wedding and personal work.

A couple recent shots of the pup with this do-it-all lens. First is from the Goldens in Golden, CO event where he had a great time with hundreds of other goldens. Other shot is from the top of Midland Hill near Buena Vista. All have a bit of cropping/processing to my preference.
