I shot this in cop mode with A7r3. Actually using crop mode was an accident but I think the more narrow fov works ok in this pic, and technically the result is still ok - tells something about the quality of this lens.
I have been very happy with Batis 135. It has become a lens that I carry very often with me. Image quality never disappoints, switches for AF/MF and and stabilization would make it more practical.
Also shorter min focus distance would be nice, but I can live with with it.

Highly recommended
I struggle with deciding if I want to sell the Batis 135. It is always in my bag, but I never seem to use it, going with either the Canon 200 F2.8 or the 85 GM. I think to myself.....ok let's sell the Batis 135, then I use it and I take it off the market. Decisions

If you like the 135 Batis, the Batis 40/2 CF might be a great addition. For me, the focal length can be used universally in everyday life, it has a very good close-up limit, great colors and wonderful micro-contrasts...
Batis 135 and Batis 40/2 would go very well together.

I've owned it twice and am so tempted to own it again but I recently added the 70-200 2.8 GM Version II and love everything about it. But coming back to this thread gives me pause!

Yes. I was about the buy Batis 40, but then the excellent 35 GM came out - and I happened to purchase it. However, I have been looking at second hand Batis 18mm. I think it will be my next Batis lens.
I am thinking of pairing this with my newly acquired Sony 50mm 1.2 GM.
Is there any notable color or white balance differences? My Sigma 85mm 1.4 DG Dn is noticeably warmer than my Sony 50mm 1.2 Gm.
I've only had the 135 Apo for a few days. It seems to have its own wonderful character. Wonderful skin tones ooc. The 135 Batis reminds me a bit of my 85/1.4 GM, but only when the GM is having a good day. Unfortunately, my GM on colors isn't nearly as good or as consistent. Unfortunately, sometimes it's completely wrong or faces just don't seem alive. That's why it's been in the display case most of the time for a few years. I am sure that the Batis will also be a very good landscape lens.

Images from Batis 135mm look very pleasing.
What do you do to them in post?
1st picture:
exposure +57; depths +37; white +26; color dynamics +20; vignette -17; otherwise normally sharpened and denoised
2nd picture:
contrast -10; depths +65; white +18; color dynamics +10; Lens correction disabled. I saw that I had forgotten sharpness and denoising. I've now made up for it.
