keep wanting a longer focal length for my travel kit (current max is 65mm) and this is Batis is one possibility. ... had the 135GM but the Batis is 11oz lighter and for my needs, plenty good. just wish it was smaller. wide open background on Fred's portraits is smooth
I use my Batis 135 mostly for outdoor portraits in the desert area around where I live. Just love the lens, it is very sharp, has great rendering and the OIS comes in handy.
I love the color and contrast I get from this lens, but unfortunately I had a front focus issue as I saw on the Batis 40 and eventually sold it due to the unreliability of the AF...
It is a machine translation from Japanese to English, so I'm sorry if you make a mistake.
The more pictures I see from this lens, the more I want it to replace my Pentax SMC K 135 F2.5 lens. Then I look at the sonyalpha blog and see it is rated at 'excellent'. Im not so worried right now, that is fine but in 3 or 4 yrs time, when we are at 100MPX, it might only be rated average or poor :-( In in the same position with the batis 40mm as well which is rated as 'very good'
Im worried that only the GM's and a few other lenses might still have the resolving power for future cameras.
Im very grateful that someone took the time to do all that work and rate those lenses, but there are times that I wish I hadn't seen that blog...

The first woman has great genetics. So many good looking people, lol.
She is from Ecuador and has been a ballerina for more than half her life. She was simply amazing to work with, I was lucky enough to shoot with her on 2 different occasions and her body was so fluid in her movements with almost zero body fat
Dear all, I have a question for other Batis 135 users.
I got the lens recently and couldn't be more happy about it. But I noticed that when I shake the lens, it makes a very clear clicking/rattling noise from within the lens body. It seems that there are parts loosely moving inside the lens. I am wondering is it normal for the lens to behave like this? The image quality seems normal though.

Thanks for the reply in advance!
Yes, it's normal. The image stabilization mechanism.
