I just put the UV in the A1, no issue. Good fit, just tight enough and as Fred says, using the fingernail is all you need to remove it, unless you bite your nails, like I used to. Wow, nails are so handy. lol Anyway, works well, and have a ND on my A7RII and the UV on the A1. A7RIII is naked! lol

The two reviews that I read on B&H for the light pollution filter didn't sound too happy about the fit and there was a claim about a change in infinity focus. Anyone know if this is just whining or real?

I will have one tomorrow and will test it out. I don't see a reason why there would be a shift but stranger things happen.

I've seen 2 reports of loose fit, and one in this thread that says its fine on the a1. As for the infinity focus that makes no sense. This filter doesn't move the flange distance. I think that reviewer was just making conjecture. I am curious about the cotton gasket as it does look intrusive but also doesn't seem like its usage is necessary.

It fits tighter in the A1 but stays in place on the A7RII, even open and tapping it firmly front down.

The 14 GM is now in stock i Europe/Norway, and I received my sample today. Test procedure is now done using my R4, and my lens is perfectly centered. I can say: the 14 GM is a beauty, it exceeded my expectations. Extremely well done by Sony.

I ordered one via Fred's link literally the moment the pre order at B&H went live and my order went from shipping 5/27 to back order this morning. I didn't see anything about 5/28. These Sony pre orders are getting as bad as trying to get a campsite at Reservation.Gov!

Same here. Strange Backordered to Being Processed to Backordered status change on my Pre-order.
I came this updated thread just to see what others were saying about their orders. Now I know.
Mine simply says "New Item - Coming Soon" instead of saying it would ship on May 27th, which is what was reported for the last 4 weeks at least.

I called B&H and they said that backorders where changed to no date because the lens would not be shipping to those who did not get in early enough on their order until more stock arrives. I got my order in almost as soon as it changed to preorder but apparently not soon enough? Anyway, I was told what I ordered would not ship until the end of next week.
I talked with another store that I have dealt with in the past, they didn't even order regular stock of the lens, and they have 3 stores. Strange.

I just got mine, I bought it from Sony Mexico (I believe Sony USA will be in the same situation) on May 10th.
I'm eager to give it a try and also read about your experiences, it's my first super wide angle lens and I plan to use it to explore new creative angles on street photography
