Great environmental portraits, Adam. And several really have something special with respect to the 3d pop.
I've got the lens sitting in a box in the next room, haven't even had a chance to open it yet, but these really make me want to keep it (had thought about sending it back and going with the Sigma f2 instead.)

Finally got the lens and here are my "here are my first shots" shots.
These are great! Love that sunset shot...the lens really seems to suit your style for family shots too. It’s what I use it for most frequently actually and has been great.

Thank you very much! I think there is a use case for both of these lenses and like them both. But you can’t squeeze f/1.4 out of an f/2 lens, and I can only justify having one for right now, so...sticking with the one that gives me the most options. Plus it isn’t heavy even after a full day of shooting.
Looking forward to your shots if you decide to keep it!

This one is actually the "harshest" of the series I shot at that moment, but I still think it comes out nicely with regards to background blur.
... and I think I need to give 35mm a break as I've been shooting only this focal length close to 3 weeks now . That's another feature of the GM though, it can do nearly everything, ranging from pseudo-macro (wink wink) through portraits to landscape .
I was really going back and forth on the GM vs my 35i F2 but no more. I am finding the 35mm GM to be one of my all time favorites. Sorry about the model in the last picture. She is the only model I can afford after all this lens buying I have been doing.

I really like the bokeh in the first two - straddles a nice line between blur and character to give the shots a unique look.
Some more from around the house. I think it produces smooth/dreamy bokeh consistently, as long as you pay attention to the background and distance to it. Without doing a direct comparison, it totally reminds me of the ZA 35. Probably has more to do with the focal length than the rendering.
Took the lens out for a spin tonight during a brief hike. Unfortunately for the dog I met, I forgot to take the camera out of Auto ISO 'Slowest', so he's a bit blurry.

The cuteness is off the charts. What an adorable portrait with fabulous background bokeh!
