Thank you! This was at the Paradee Resort on the southern end of the island (Koh Samet). Powdery white sand and turquoise waters. One of the better beach experiences within a stone’s throw of Bangkok. We will return.
Just a handheld snapshot as I walked past Dumbarton Rock and Castle. Think ill go back to this spot in better light. Not much can be derived from this photo but thought I would post anyway.
Lovely images already. Just gorgeous images, abadger.
While I am glad to have finally received mine, getting it on a Monday afternoon has made it tough to do any real shooting. These are just what I have been able to do so far around the house, and I really like what I am seeing so far. Bokeh is gorgeous. Focusing is instantaneous, and it is plenty sharp, all across the frame. I tried hard to make the lens show fringing but failed. Lovely little lens.

Thank you! I’m really looking forward to seeing what you and others can do with the lens once everyone has some time with it, now that they are shipping out.

Wonderful set. Colors are amazing. The lizard on the wall is stellar, almost looks like it's 3D.
I really appreciate the kind words. Had to crop significantly because when I got closer, he bolted. These apparently can bite a hole in your shirt. Not your normal everyday geckos. Size of my forearm.
Thank you, I’m quite pleased with it in that respect as a Jack of all trades at this focal length. Looking forward to more images coming in as the lens arrives at peoples’ doorsteps!

Wonderful, thanks a lot for sharing!
Seems to tickle my ‚if i could only have one lens‘ toes. A lot!
On my first full day with the lens it has rained a lot and tomorrow will be the same. Here's the only non-test shot that I got in my first hours with it.
Re: processing, mostly standard Raw edits in ACR for me including white balance, contrast, HSL channels, one check CA removal, and finally sharpness. The extra bit was the automatic geometric distortion correction in order to make the wall flatter. It wasn't a distortion issue, rather that I was shooting upward. I often try to soften OOF areas, but I didn't do that here for the foreground as it looked fine as is. I shot at 1.4 keep the foreground elements soft.

It would be really hopeful for those of us still deciding on the 35 GM if you would briefly outline any processing applied. If SOOC please let us know.
