The Sony 35mm f/1.4 makes an outstanding landscape lens on top of its other strengths. Viewed in full resolution, the detail, and colors it captures are just amazing.
On my recent trip through the Colorado Rockies, I shot this landscape image as I was driving from Carbondale to the tiny town of Marble on route 133, near the historic town of Redrock. I literally pulled off the side of the road and shot it hand held out the drivers side window.
I edited this image in the new 2022 version of On1. Somehow it reports the lens as the 35mm 1.4 ZA in error. It is actually the 35mm 1.4 GM. Lightroom correctly identifies it.
Finally got around to editing some shots I took with the 35GM during this last Colorado autumn season. I was constantly changing lenses between this and my 100-400 because I couldn't simply not use this phenomenal lens. Obviously, <1MB files don't do this lens justice, but needless to say, the love affair continues.
Processed (it's so much easier when there are no skin tones to watch out for ), as the harsh light pushes the DR quite a bit recently... DSC00327_DxO_1-3 by Jan U, on Flickr
