I know this is a weird comparison - but curious how this compares to the Sigma 65/2, which was getting high grades as one of the sharpest lenses around.

I really loved the idea of this lens but when I looked at the last 11 years of shooting I really didn't take any shots I loved at 50mm that wasn't a landscape that could have been replicated with even more resolution by stitching some 85mm shots together.....
35mm and 85+ were far more preferred. Probably save the $$ and wait until the next big thing.

She did a very good job of it, equalising settings and back to back shooting. Interesting to see a little LoCA in the model's hair in both lenses. I prefer the f1.4 here as well.

This is interesting - I have the GM on order but I did love the ZA and in this comparison I like the rendering and colors/clarity more from the ZA. Hmmmmmm

Mine will be delivered tomorrow by fedex from Spain, only place here which were having some of them. They only had three of them and they are all gone.

Has anyone in the US heard anything about a delay? My preorder isn't through one of the big two, but I've been checking the estimated ship date periodically and it doesn't seem to have reflected Sony Japan's delay announcement.
the 35GM delay was announced just a week before the initial ship date, so hopefully we're in the clear here.

I called BH today to change my shipping to overnight. That way I’ll get it this Friday instead of having to wait until Monday with 2 day shipping. I’m pretty excited to get my hands on this little gem.
