The last time I back-ordered something from B&H it changed to "New Order" when the restock happened, then "shipped to warehouse" when it was processed.

So I guess one could cross fingers that if shipments get to various retailers this week they may be allowed to release on March 4th. Did SPS send you a confirmation number of some kind for your allotted camera?

No response after filling out the form. I had communicated via email before even getting the form where they said they would prioritize me. Then the form came a few days later and I filled it out anyways. Nothing since. But my dealer has one listed for me so I guess it worked.

I reached out yesterday to SPS and they said I was also prioritized since I had filled out the form. My dealer/sales rep is dragging is knuckles on any information here in TX

FYI, the Sony Pro Support can only give the list of people who signed up to be put on the priority list to the respective dealers. The SPS is not ultimately involved in the actual allotment of the items, be it cameras or lenses, etc. It is all up to the dealers that make the actual call who will get the first batch.

Interesting. I’m now showing new order as my status and see a charge on my Payboo account. I thought the charge was not processed until the item was ready for shipping.

That is how they have always handled my orders. No charge until ready to ship.

Just got off the phone with BH......I placed my A1 preorder about 2 hours after it was available......they will get stock in on 3/11 and will probably start shipping on the 15th.......at least I'm in the first group...

Someone in the FaceBook group says they called B&H yesterday and were told the a1's were already in hand awaiting 3/9 ship date. No clue how reliable that is, but not sure why they'd lie.
